Yeah, I hate to be the rainy day guy here, and I'm not the only one.. There simply won't be huge break throughs in SQ for some time.. TWS's have come a long way, but pick up a $300 to $500 IEM, with a good source, and well, the difference is obvious....

Not too convinced on that. Been A/B testing the IMR Bass Cannon $570 AUD against the Fiio Fw5 $260 AUD and I think the Fiio has better resolution. Different driver set up of course but I prefer the delivery of mids on the Fiio as they extend further and hit harder. Main difference being IMR BC has heftier note weight.

Been thinking of selling the IMR for the Mystique tho so that says something.

I said I would update on the new Creative BT-W5 when MS fixed Windows 11 Canary issues (only took them 2-3 poor builds and 2 skipped build weeks) so 1 month or so.

Update:






A new Name/Status/Icon, if you choose the Speakers Mode in Creative App, it will state Speakers and show the Speakers icon (no need to edit it yourself anymore).

This icon is already outdated as BT-W5 does not come with the little Mic and in SoundSwitch the icon is small so hard to see on the Windows Taskbar.

Does that mean the mic portion of tws wouldn't work with that adapter?

I do not use the mic, but I assume it works from the ear/headphone's mic (I will test later) and it was same in the BT-W4 just they gave you "better" Mic (???).

If you totally disable the Hands-Free setting, it states Speakers instead of Headphones no matter what Mode you are in so i have re-enabled it.

Creative released a new FW, Audio Driver and some other type of update (not Creative App that was weeks ago) to sort HFP issue and fix product Images but it has introduced a bug, bummer (will add more later).
