The AZLA Xelastec 2 same as galaxygrrl also recommended.Thanks. Which model? The link doesn't work for me.
Ordered. The AZLA Xelastec 2 same as galaxygrrl also recommended.
I just found this on AliExpress:Need some tips that will help the rex5 stay put. Bonus points for amazon prime.
I think the orange ones are more stickier and the black ones are softer. Can you verify?I have those, both the orange and the black variants, I opted for XL (15.5mm) size only, going to order more now I know they work and cut the stems for earbuds that need shorter ear tips as sometimes longer tips make them stick out more not go deeper.
I grabbed those on Amazon for $10 and gave them a spin—you can totally return them if they’re not your thing. Here is the link. They took a long time to come.I just found this on AliExpress:
$9.90 | 3 Pairs of Penon Liqueur O Orange 4.5mm Series S/M/L/XL HiFi Audiophie Silicone Eartips for 4.0-6.5mm Nozzle In-ear Earphone IEM

Pretty stick
The XELASTEC are very grippy but require more maintenance to properly clean. The Penons fit my ears very secure, are grippy and easy* to cleanI grabbed those on Amazon for $10 and gave them a spin—you can totally return them if they’re not your thing. Here is the link. I liked them, but they didn’t beat the XELASTECs for me. They’re 9.2mm long—and anything past 8mm is where the Rex5 says, “nope.” It’s like trying to zip jeans that almost fit… close, but, they stick our for me.
Also… the orange against the green Rex5? It was giving traffic cone vibes. I know, I know, but....
@FullCircle - can you please make another color? How about a slick black.![]()
You’re making the maintenance sound like a total PITA—but come on, it’s not that deep. Once every six months, you give them a 90-second spa day in boiling water. That’s it. No drama, just a little dip and done. Then, good as new.The XELASTEC are very grippy but require more maintenance to properly clean. The Penons fit my ears very secure, are grippy and easy* to clean

I like a quick and simple clean of eartips. An Ear swab and cleaning wipes. With the XELASTEC, cleaning them with paper or sanitation wipes leave string dust. As they are that sticky. Don't hate on the orangeYou’re making the maintenance sound like a total PITA—but come on, it’s not that deep. Once every six months, you give them a 90-second spa day in boiling water. That’s it. Plus, they are not orange.
On a more serious note—I did find that the extra millimeter made a noticeable difference for me. I must’ve gone through 10 to 15 eartips before landing on the right one
The black are possibly thicker and/or harder, they tell you on their website what each characteristic is.I think the orange ones are more stickier and the black ones are softer. Can you verify?
Yep, LLMs get it wrong constantly—but in this case, if you check the size info on the link you shared, it clearly says 15.5mm.The black are possibly thicker and/or harder, they tell you on their website what each characteristic is.
The black isolate more.

I spray my ears almost daily with aloe vera and use a cotton swab, and clean my ear tips occasionally with 99% isopropyl alcohol.
OMG yes—same! I went full TWS detective mode and absolutely loved every minute of the rabbit hole.Loving all the tip notes.
I really wish tip rolling wasn't a thing, because it's a PITA, but it makes so much difference... and I've barely even started down that rabbit hole.
He could swap that and make an orange REX5 then you can put green tips on them and make have a fall pumpkin vibe! Annnd a little jack-o-lantern case cover for Halloween...I grabbed those on Amazon for $10 and gave them a spin—you can totally return them if they’re not your thing. Here is the link.
