Is $149 for the Sony's Amazon renewed worth it? Looking for a cycling bud. Can ANC be disabled? How's the fit on these?
If you're asking about the XM5's, then I'll say there was zero chance the tips provided in the box would fit me. Not even close, and be aware the tips are
some sort of hybrid cross between silicon and foam. However, once I found two tips that sealed properly the sound is excellent. I'm convinced by Sony's XM5 and Sennheiser's MT4, that well engineered high quality single drivers are going to be competitive to multi driver for a long time.
Assuming we think the XM6 release is imminent?

Just a few things I have around the house. Recommendations are welcome.

So I recently got the Rex5 and the Fokus Prestige thinking I could be happy with one of them after selling my Novus. I usually listen to my Utopia in bed and didn't find I used IEMs much. But now that I've sold my Novus and returned the Fokus, deciding to keep the Rex, I miss the isolation and intimacy and detail of IEMs. I like the convenience of the wireless but still doesn't compare to IEMs yet.

Changing eartips might help you with isolate. They made a big difference for me.

Yep, agree. Definitely made a difference. But I also think it's the size of the shells of some IEMs that contribute to the isolation.

I hope you love them! I love mine. Btw, you might need to play around with the tips. I posted 5 tips that worked for me about 10 posts back. Changing tips seems to make a big difference with these.
As you said, Rex5 has short and wide nozzles.. How did you know which tips to get, do they have dimensions info on the tip package??

I asked ChatGPT for a list of ear tips that would fit I bought them all and returned the ones I did not like. 😅 Then someone mentioned they were using the AZLAs, so I gave those a shot too.

Most ear tips are over 10mm long, but these are on the shorter side, making them a better match for the Rex5’s short nozzle. You can usually find the dimensions on the product page of the ear tip.

And honestly, I knew nothing about TWS, nozzle length or eartips before I started this journey. Chat GPT was pretty amazing, teaching me. I also found out that I like shorter tips, I tried them on other TWS I own and I like them the best.

No, but these were on my radar, before I decided to go with the Fiio utws2025. They seemed a real good all rounder from the specs & videos I watched. My only concern was fit with them, with how the shell is shaped.
