The Rex5 is like a rainforest made music—lush, green, layered, and occasionally makes you cry a little.
what is your setup? I just bought s25 ultra and can't wait until tomorrow to get them. They're have Bluetooth 5.4 , I want to test Rex 5 with 5.4. s25ultra-rex5-qobuz-uapp-bitperfect ldac990/24 bit😎🔥also I prefer more flat eq like Harman curve

Has anyone tried the new Air Pods feature that does ANC at live concerts? Feedback would be appreciated.
I just went to see Caravan Palace live, the set was insanely loud, but I did get to try using my pro 2s in transparency mode. (The hearing protection feature works in all modes except the off mode)

It’s a game changer, I had a very comfortable listening experience but didint feel like the dynamic range or energy changed whatsoever, just that the volume was more manageable to sit through. I would absolutely use them again for another live show.

S25 has the OneUI 7 right? Will be curious if you can use APTx HD.

Not sure. I hope ldac 990 will be stable that's all I need 😌
I have an S23 ultra and LDAC 990 is mostly stable on my phone as compared to earlier model where it almost wouldn't even work.

Not it isn't just in your opinion, LDAC at 660 vs aptX HD the latter has better SQ, distance and battery , LDAC at 990 is bettered in all by LHDC and aptX Adaptive, it is a battery hungry dinosaur.

P.S this was all tested on the same earbuds as it does all the codecs above (FiiO FW5's) so very fair as well as others not all codecs on same earbud though) over time.

Like with Atrac, Sony supports for a while then they stagnate. Think LDAC is still using old compression that could be improved but it hasn't been done, correct me. Sony is good and they do some things then they get stingy and stop funding which might be fine for and old format like Minidisc or older DAP's but can't let your codec become a dinosaur. Ya take the good and the bad with Sony.

^^ It is an
Senior Wizard Rex 5 are going back to Amazon because they're can't handle LDAC 990 on s23 ultra and s25 ultra with Bluetooth 5.4. Very disappointed. With avoit I have stable ldac 990 connection.
They are using a QUALCOMM chipset for aptX Adaptive so are shoehorning LDAC in using its compression so it will only work well up to 660k unless connected to another Snapdragon Sound cert'd device.

LDAC traditionally uses 2 data steams this is why is is so poor at distance/battery etc.

A bigger device like a modern Snapdragon Sound cert'd phone should be able to use both methods or else your other LDAC earbuds would also not work above 660k.
