I'm having a weird issue with the Rex5 where on one volume step the music is a bit below the wanted volume and the next step is too loud, is there any way to resole it ?
I would just call their tech support.

Hate to say it... I returned mine. I couldn't handle the ear hook pain after a few hours. They're just too tight for my ears for long periods. Such a bummer.
Man that didn't last long.
Anyone going to CamJam? It will be my 1st. It's fun reading about all the different takes on Pizza on the CanJam NYC thread.

Since my newer found admiration for open style earbuds is becoming more appreciated, I decided to try the newish Shokz openfit 2 and see how the compare to my favorite Bose Open Ultra.
It's nice being able to hear my music and my surroundings at the same time. The Shokz won't arrive for a few days as BB don't have any right now.
I am using the openfit 2 and really enjoy them. The bass doesn't have the vibration issues of the first model.

I don't have the Rex 5 (I have the Mystiques) but I'm throwing this out there for anyone who may be having volume issues with their TWS...

It took me awhile to realize that I had to max out the volume on my TWS first and THEN control the volume with my phone. For some time there I thought many an earphone was lacking volume. I was under the impression that the Bluetooth volume control on my phone was directly synched with my TWS right out of the gate. Maybe some are. But some definitely are not. This was like a revelation. Perhaps I'm just stoopid. So now anytime I get a new pair of TWS the first thing I do is max out the volume on them (typically if they have volume touch control on the buds). I had to do with this the Gemini II, Pi8, etc.

Why not the other way around?

Story of my life with these things... Great question, I'd like to know too...
By reducing Bluetooth "volume" you're operating on a digital signal, essentially trimming the bits. By doing the same in tws and feeding it Bluetooth signal at maxvol, you're at least receiving the best possible digital signal. And in some cases there's analogue volume control on the receiving end.

Ps. Sorry, not the reply to the topic you raised. My bad.

Why not the other way around?
Only if the two (TWS and source) were at the exact same volume would it work seamlessly. Because as you raised the Bluetooth volume on your phone (from 50%), the TWS would also increase at the same rate. If your phone was at 80% and your TWS at 50%, raising the BT volume on your phone to 100% would only increase the TWS volume to 70%. I guess it would work the other way around if your BT volume was less than your TWS volume. Either way, it's easier for me (personally) to control the music volume from the phone than it is from the TWS which is why I max out the TWS volume and then manage it with the BT volume on the phone. I hope that makes sense.

So I got the AirPods 4 (non-ANC) the other day, returned the Airpods 4 ANC since I didn’t even open the box as I changed my mind and I’m usually not big on Apple IEMs and never tried the AirPods Pro variants despite being an iOS user. The AirPods 4 are pretty nice and the sound quality is very solid. I enjoy the open back design and airiness in the sound. It’s pretty limited though in noisy conditions but for $100 (damaged box price) what the heck. It’s a tiny daily driver.
Tempted to try now the AirPods 4 ANC after all and maybe compare them to the AirPods Pro 2.

Thoughts and inputs are welcomed. :)

Not to derail the thread but for you peeps who sell your earbuds frequently (like a certain someone who I will not mention) where do you have the best luck with the least amount of issues? I have some that i just don't use at all. Thanks!!

I've sold 5 or 6 pairs on eBay over the years. Never had a problem.

Huh? Source? I don't think this is correct.
