I think you will be quite happy with the performance of the adapters. You can also give them more juice when in the settings you pick the SE215 as the default device. Let us know.
The ambient has many levels to choose from. The max levels are hissy but amplify well. EQ is seriously the best. might be overkill for many.
So I got mine today.
These exude quality compared to the iFi Go Pods. The Go Pod case just feels chintzy and cheap overall - and it's also stupidly designed for a portable 'Go' product. It is not symmetrical, has angular edges, and is bulky - literally the polar opposite of sleek and portable - it's not good to slide into a bag pocket on the go, unless it's quite big. The Shure is shaped like a smooth puck, and is way better in this regard. Plus the Go Pod case could be finicky with charging starting upon putting the buds in. You can see with the Shure it's a much better design.
It feels like a more premium product for sure.
The app is good, it's not amazing but it's a nicely done app, simple but modern looking UI, with some good functionality - like changing what button presses do, the EQ, and adjusting ambient noise, all of these things the Go Pods lack completely, for twice the price. No App, No EQ, No ambient mode. And they have been gaslighting their customers about designing an app, which I find terrible.
Also, way more comfortable in my ear. The Go Pods cords are short and stiff, and multiple people complained about what that did to the fit. Uncomfortable. Sometimes they'd pull the IEM's enough out of my ear with just normal walking and head movement and break the seal. Super annoying.
SQ is good, I like AptX, though I would like AptX HD. I have to give the overall SQ so far to the Go Pods as they just have a slightly nicer sound to me, plus they put out more power, and they do support some newer codecs plus LDAC.
Considering the Shure are half the price, it's evident the Go Pods were a total price gouge based upon being an early to market product.
As far as tactile buttons over touch, I usually prefer good touch buttons, but that is very subjective. The tactile buttons on these TW2 do work very well though. That is a personal thing and I'll have to get used to it but they feel high quality.
I can't say these are end game TWS adapters at all, but it gives me hope that we can do a lot better in the not too far future than the overpriced $400 Go Pods. I sold mine for $200 and I think that person paid the right price. It's a shame Shure just markets these for their buds. They could do a few tweaks, add changeable connectors for 2 pin and MMCX, and add in the better chip of the Go Pods, and charge $300 and it would simply blow everything else out of the water.
