I returned the DPP to Amazon UK. I found the fit very bad and the volume was no loud enough for me but bare in mind i use mobile phone and not DAP music players.
I had so many TW over the years that i decided to go back to wired earphones due to poor volume and sound quality issues - I am not deaf :)

I went trough the IEM rabbit hole and had all the hyped IEMs, including kilobuck ones, however lately I decided to check the TW world again as I could see some good technological improvements over the last few years but i was so disappointed with the DPP specially knowing that it is the top choice in this tread.

I will always prioritize sound quality over any gimmick especially noise cancelling (If I get a good seal I don't use NC) so being a big fan of Unique melody ( i own the Mest's 2) I've decided to take a shot and buy the UM U-free.

IMHO this is the best TW I have ever tried to date. It is far away for being perfect, specially when it comes to App, the gimmicks etc but again, I am looking for a good sound and they just made me toe tapping and very happy. I guess after experiencing the U-free I cannot go for the mainstream brands anymore.
I had MEST and it was one of the best IEMs I had used. How do you like call quality and ANC of U Free? Currently using AZ80 which probably has one of the best mics for phone calls with acceptable ANC.

Aaron X has become my favorite YT reviewer. His comparisons are particularly excellent. I noticed for the first time that each ANC implementation results in its own pitch of hiss, with Bose being the highest, clearly the most effective but I also found the pitch most annoying. Also listening to the sound samples the contrast in each brand's processing was interesting.

U-Free ANC is average to say the least. I haven't tried phone call with them at all however I don't care for either of them. I have the sony's wf-1000xm4 and I use them for ANC and phone calls but all I wanted was a TW for listening music solely and oh boy they delivered to me. One of the best bass I have heard. They are pure joy and ever song just sounds amazing with them. If you want audiophile levels, flat and boring signature they are not for you tho.

That's interesting. I always wondered if I didn't get a good fit with the U-Free which has never happened to me before. But these are the only TWS that have actively disgusted me. I mean I really hated everything about them other than the mids.
Disgusting is a strong statement. Did they make you feel nauseous? I have had sony wf-1000xm4, jabra, soundcore, DPP, bose, apple, seinhesser Samsung and these just do for me what all of these others didn't. But this is my opinion and I guess we all have different tastes you might had a defective one, bad seal not sure. I guess it's just not for you. I myself can't stand moondrop sound signature.

Went to their website, saw $430.00 Cuff links and quietly backed out... :)
I know they are $$ but with some people here liking all new and shiny things… they look nice (looks), but these and others makes me think I should just get 2/3 * Apple AirPods Pro’s lol.

Is "your product is disgusting" a good complaint for returning. Someone please use this at Amazon. I love it!!

Totally agree about Aaron X, a very good reviewer, I really appreciate his sound samples and mic tests.

His thoughts on the Elite 10 are pretty spot on. They are like the AZ80 in that they are not the best at many things but they really good at most things. Making them a great all rounder.

I think for comfort they are the most comfortable TWS I have owned though, so the best in that area.

What's surprising me is how much better they sound for music than I expected. They really picked up their game in this area being able to now compete withe Sony, Sennheiser, and Technics.

I also think they improved the mic quality to the point of being above average as well.

Their wind functionality is not great but they are no worse than most TWS either, so a bit if a wash in that one area. I live in a windy place so I just accept I need to adjust.

Or just marketing ploy
I figured it was built by special order. Probably has a few in a central location that then goes to retailers as orders come in

You had a really good experience with the bass, for me it didn't exist. Tip rolling managed to pull a 2dimensional bass out of them that was still the worst I had heard but improved over the stock tips.

They actually did make me fill icky. The build quality the sound of them the features all made me want to rip them out of my ear. If they weren't so expensive I would have opened them up to look at what was going on inside.

Definitely some gremlins in the G2 software. Still not charging to 100. Not clear it's a battery issue or a software issue. Will be reaching out to support.

Yeah I am tempted by them - but lack of Amazon reviews and some issues seen by users such as yourself… I’d also like to turn of ANC as not always needed

Wow that is crazy. I found the bass to be visceral and the volume the loudest I've ever come across. I am using the stock tips (not the ones with tiny holes) and i get a good seal.

Did you use it with apple or android phone? Did you download the app? I am just using it with HIFI mode. I completely disregarded ANC and any other options because they change the sound quality.

I've also created my own custom EQ and although it doesn't change the sound signature too much, it is a nice addition.
