I posted photos of what I did here: J2S with Sparkos SS2590sHi, have you got some pics?
Thanks, didn't have associate the nickname with it
Hi Jersey, any comments on the SS2590?Thanks for the advice. Hooked up this very power supply with my J2S (AKM 4493/Sparkos SS3602) last night. Hard pressed to discern a big sonic difference, but it is sounding great today. Maybe smoother? Maybe placebo? Don't care - I like the idea.
Also received the Sparkos SS2590 with pre-installed 8-pin adaptor in the mail recently (an impulsive Black Friday discount purchase). Will report on how it changes the sound after I have a chance to swap it in - probably mid-January or so. Still have not tried the Burson V6V Vivid that Burson sent me for free. That one will be trickier to fit in the case.
I still have not installed it. Hoping to give it a try in a few weeks.Hi Jersey, any comments on the SS2590?

Has anyone been successful ordering the new Dayzee dual dac? The new contact by email order system doesn't work very well.
How much Is It priced?
My stock J2S 4499 is in... been listening today. Sounds very good... has a certain beguiling quality. Elegance and sonic sophistry, where another DAC might play it more brutally straight. Everything is there, nicely delivered... with a little extra sprinkled all over. Seasoning. Or icing sugar.
Still, for the chain it's in, I'll need something nippier to replace the OPA1656's. A touch more aggression and clarity and all will be well. I have MUSES03 lined up, and if they sound as exciting as the MUSES8820 I've been playing with in another device, I'll be satisfied.

Rolled in a couple of LM4562's to replace the OPA1656's at the balanced output. I haven't improved the sound, overall; I have simply scraped all the softness and smoothness off it. It's decent, and it pairs better with the chain.
This will tide me over until I have enough MUSES03 at hand.
EDIT: Aaaaand the OPA1656's are back in. Lost too much of the magic with the LM4562's.

I posted my impressions in the Head Gear section for the Burson V6 Vivid Opamp installed the J2S.
It was my first full review and I now have new respect for reviewers. It basically looks easier to do than it is LOL!

Burson sent me a V6 as sell, but I have been too afraid to take apart my J2S to install it. Your photos make it look less daunting. Will give it a shot.I posted my impressions in the Head Gear section for the Burson V6 Vivid Opamp installed the J2S.

Just received the Blood Wood case that I ordered from Geshelli Labs, it replaced the alum gray I originally had. on my J2S. I bought it to match my Ayra Organics color sequence, I like the look. Might get there Amp too just to complete the look...lol.

I am actually using the iFi iPower X - 12V Low Noise Power Supply DC Adapter on my Dac, got it for $109 on Amazon. I can say that I do get a cleaner low end and a smoother sound overall. I prefer the sound compared to the original power supply.

I use a linear power supply copied from a Studer console circuit from AliExpress (<$90). It works perfectly with the J2S.
