Keep searching and let us know. There was a strange video on youtube, IIRC, with two Fostex men walking around in small rooms looking at and holding some woodies...

Found the video, but strangely enough they never show the complete headphone:

The headphone was discussed in this thread:

Don't know what happened with the introduction, maybe Sasaki knows.

The foster 448498 group buy is an idea that deserves resurrection

An HF run of a few hundred at a reasonable price would definitely sell out. We need to get a hold of someone at Foster and maybe a vendor who could facilitate this.

I'm not sure how responsive Foster international will be, but I hope that AM&S, the US Fostex distributor, might be able to contract a run. It would net both companies good recognition in the lucrative headphone market that is open to both Western and Eastern enthusiasts.

Well, for those who like me read the entire thread there is a mention on page 1 by someone who owned a pair of the Razer|Pro Tone 250 of the Razer|Pro line... a more discreet line of products that are less black and luminous and more general-consumer (as opposed to the hardcore gamers) oriented made by the Razer mouse company we all know. And that is no carcharias, this aforementioned headphone is just this http://www.foster.co.jp/en_products/headphones/388404.html rebranded.

I've been trying hard to find one since then but they are all discontinued. Reviews about it all seem quite stellar, and I've heard here that so is Foster and -tex, haha. MSRP was 49.99$ for the Tone 250, which I would have totally bought being more aware of the facts here in 2007, year of the Google results about the clip-on headphones.

I think we just need to open our mind and eye a little to find out about Foster products around us and in the stores we think we know the products. I loved my JVC clip-on I've lost somewhere, if only I could find the updated version of the 388404 the 429456 http://www.foster.co.jp/en_products/headphones/n429456.html
