Will answered this already, it's random, as long as you are the first 250 order you have a chance at getting serial #1, 1/250 chance to be exact.

Hey guys need your opinions...
I am from Canada and the HD 800 is on sale for $1360 CAD (like $970 USD)
These are $400 USD + $15 USD + potential brokerage fees which could add up to $600++ CAD.
I would be driving these off the the O2 and Schiit Modi. I have the funds to buy the HD 800 but want your opinion since I can always cancel my order on Massdrop.

do you own the Alpha Dogs like your profile picture suggests? I would think that if you prefer one closed headphone over the other you could always sell off one of them still.

Will said there were two number 1 serials. You're technically like 1.5 and who knows how many prototypes they had.

Don't ask me why... but I had to do it... something made me do it. Do I really need another headphone? Shouldn't I have just been patient and saved up for something in the $1000+ category? Nah... screw it. Same thing happened with the 7XXs for me and I'm not regretting it one bit. Might have to throw up a pair or two of my seldom used headphones on the For Sale section...

I was thinking about getting up at 7am to order, then I realized no one cares what serial number I have. Not going to make it more valuable. The only thing I really care about is how fast they sell out so I can get mine faster...

For me it really wasn't, I'm really used to these by now...
I just ordered mine, because I was curious about the 600/900 for some years now but never took the leap of getting those. These look gorgeous and are much better priced - and besides, these shouldn't be too hard to sell if I don't end up liking them for some reason.
