Has this headphone been compared to the Oppo PM-3? If so, can someone direct me to the post? Thank you.

I only see one Slappa full size headphone case both on their website and on Amazon.  Maybe they had a larger case at one point?  All I know is the Slappa case I got last week (link I provided) does not fit the X00.

I also have this one, is a bit big for the thx00 but I think it fits fine.

That's the same one I got from Amazon last week and, while they fit if I lay them in there as you have in the photo, the ear cups are too tall to actually zip the case closed.

I am considering getting a Monoprice hard case, which are similar to the Pelican and then fit it with the adjustable foams.

A few attendees at meets have used these or some similar.

So I got a pair of SMC connectors to use for a removable cable mod (this is the connector I bought based off the recommendation in another topic).  How exactly do I wire this thing, is it just as simple as cutting off the cable near the hole and soldering the two wires to that small, half-open end of the SMC connector?  I know how to solder, just not 100% on what and where exactly I'm supposed to be soldering.  Doesn't really seem like there are other options, but I just wanna make sure I'm not gonna do something dumb.

Asking again about this, don't want to be impatient and do something to ruin $400 headphones.  Should I just ask in one of the Denon DX000/TH-600/900 topics?  I know people have experience modding this family.  I actually reached out to two of the people who did this mod on here (for other headphones in the family) and never got a response.  I feel like I asked how to join the freemasons or something.

With regards to the case question, here is my experience:

  1. MrSpeakers case (https://mrspeakers.com/shop/3-accessories/headphone-case/):  As others have mentioned, they fit, but it is tight fit around the pivot / adjustment points.  Great fit for my Ethers (which have larger cups), but not ideal for the X00.
  2. Geekria EJB-0034-01 case (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00PDEZIPA):  Great fit with plenty of room for the cables.
  3. Slappa HardBody Pro case (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B009NE7B06):  DOES NOT FIT

Thanks, gtb75! The EJB-0034-01 was on my list as is this Geekria. I'm thinking the one you recommended might be the winner. Though, the shape of the other Greekria is much more to my liking and appears to have better zippers.

Too bad the Mr. Speakers case is too small.

That's a nice fit! Thanks for sharing. The Slappa and XXL CASEBUDi do have good reviews. Hmmm... choices.

Anyone have any comments or impressions of the Hippo case? We might as well round out the smaller cases available via Amazon.

I wish that GoCase made something like this case for headphones. I'm going to purchase their A-Case for my Grace m9xx. It should work out really well.

Thanks for all the help with cases!

Even though it is a bit too big, I like the feel and quality of the CASEBUDi  better than Slappa. More than enough room for the biggest headphone you could fit. I originally bought it for my Philips X2 as the Slappa didn't fit it.

Do you mind snapping a picture of the case and X00 in it? The user pictures with the K550 make the case look massive. The Amazon description also claims there's a mesh pocket?

The Casebud does remind me of my Ultrasone Pro900 case, which I quite liked.

Thanks and cheers!
