Has anybody found portable headphones that sound close to these wonderful cans?
You are in luck - Takstar GM200 is on sale right now: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/tak...scussion-thread.849965/page-197#post-15148815
It has bass response very close to TH900 MK2 all the way down to sub-bass, but without the crashing mids and the huge peak in treble:

It also offers great passive isolation and comfort.

On the other hand, if the extreme V-shaped sound signature that TH900 MK2 offers is what you are looking for - look elsewhere.
GM200 is much flatter above 400 Hz, with fuller sound.

I would like the green emerald or the sapphire blue.
I already had a th900 but these limited series do they have a difference of sound signature ?
Thanks for your answer

The emerald green sounds like the standard red TH900, but the sapphire blue has a slighly different sound signature. I would describe the blue one more balanced and less V-shaped over all.

Thank you Christoph !

The sub are less generous and the treble less agressive ? The mids are more present ?

@Dim666
Yes, this describes it quite good. I don't find the treble really aggressive from the red ones, but in a direct A/B comparsion i have to admit, that i prefer the slightly smoother treble of the blue ones. The bass of the blue ones is a bit less enormous, for a basshead like me this is the most difficult question which i like more.
The mids are not emphazised compared to the red, at least from my impression, but through the fact of slightly less bass and treble, they stand out more if this makes sense.
However the differences are not huge, but you can hear them in a direct A/B comparsion.

You're welcome.
I never had the emerald green up to now, but on photos they look really gorgeous. If you prefer the classic red sound signature but looking for something special, this could be yours.

If you are nearly but not complete happy with the sound, there are also some mods for the TH900 described here on head-fi which affects the sound signature - if this is an option for you.

I am looking for closed back headphones with very good bass and comfort. Are the highs on TH900 as piercing as the HD800s?
Best bass period. If treble too much just eq the treble slightly.

I know you have too many TH900s, you really are out of my world.
Do you prefer 900s over D9200? I am looking for a relaxed sound signature.
Both are great , think either will be great for you. The 9200 is more serious , bass is always there and sub bass appears when called for. The th900 always pounds with the bass.
