Regardless, I was wondering what you guys would think would be better for taming the TH-900 highs? Adding 610 pads? Buying a Schiit Loki?
Any recommendations?

This may just be my opinion, but I believe there are folks out there who aren't bothered by the highs of the TH900 including myself. If this is your first experience with Fostex TH series, give it some time before you decide if the highs are really bothering you.

And to answer part of your questions, the pad change seems like a popular choice.

The 900Mk2 is on Sonarworks list of tested headphones. If anyone is using SW with the Fostex TH900MK2...please chime in.

Think you can try it on the PH. It gives a more open sound , vocals upfront with this pad.
