Can you share some impressions on the Lawton mods? I've very interested... I see you have a couple in your signature, which woods did you go for??

My two favorite cans are the Denon D7k and the Focal Elear. But I have always been very curious about the th900 in comparison to the Denon. To those who have heard both, would you say basically the sound signature is very similar and maybe a 'little' jump up in quality with the th900? Or is it a major Improvement over the D7k? For what it's worth, I believe I prefer the Elear sound signature over the D7k. TIA

Th900 is clearer and reveals more detail than the D7K. Plus the th900 has a more sub bass impact.

Thanks! Could you comment on the mids? (then I'll stop rehashing questions that have been asked a zillion times before)

This cable pushed the mids forwards, thicker lush mids, tighter bass and less sharp treble but still very detailed and extended treble. This cable works best on a neutral to bright dac.

Had them both side by side for a while...............both fully Lawton modded by Mark Lawton himself. Sold the TH900, still have the LA7000 if that gives you an idea on which I prefer.

Well, maybe all that is new is not always best? Would you be so kind to give your reasons for your preference to the LA7000?

And I wonder if your view would be the same when comparing the non-Lawton modded versions?
