Anybody? Can anyone comment on how or if burn-in modulates the sound on these? Thanks.

Anybody?
You'll probably get more used to the treble.
Amp pairing is the most important part if they are too harsh for you.
Brain burn-in has the effect of reducing the perception of harshness for all headphones. I mean more along the lines of the physical burn-in of the drivers settling.

there's no definitive answer so it depends on who you ask - much like "brain burn-in"

Hi, I have both and the D7000. THX00 sounds more closed in, so the mids will have more meat to it, it has less clarity but not much. The biggest difference is the "Air", the th900 has a lot more air, instruments will sound more distant. I can't tell the difference between the THX00 and the D7k.I have heard some people say the TH-X00 are superior to the TH 900. What are your thoughts on this statement? I haven't heard the th-x00 but I do own the Denon AH-D5000 and while lovely headphones, do not hold a candle to the TH 900 in my opinion.
To me the thx00 stock sound muddy compared to the th900. Now with some of those special pads they sell, and the special ring (sorry, all the names are escaping me) p, the thx00 sounds much better, but not as goos as the 900
I'd even take a 610 over any of the massdrops stuff.

I kind of wonder about that some times. Why are people buying the Massdrop variations when you can get the 610s for about the same price quite often? I have both those and the 900s and don't get it. I find the 610s to be perfectly pleasurable to listen to, I got them well before my 900s. Never thought I'd find them for an affordable price, but lucked out along the way. I wonder if it's the different wood cups? Or just owning something limited in production? Eh, I'll just keep these and stay happily ignorant.

That was my first impression after hearing both as well.

Just wanted to share that I slapped some TH-610 stock pads onto my TH900mk2's and it, without a doubt, helped tame the excessive highs that was bothering me. It wasn't like I was reaching for the EQ on every track, but maybe 10% of them. Not bothered EQ'ing away the highs now with these 610 pads. Worth a try if you feel like I did.
Furthermore, the TH-610 pads did not increase the TH900's (slightly) recessed mids. I didn't expect them, nor does it bother me that much. At first listen with the new pads I felt the clarity had decreased but I think that's was just the sudden attentuated highs giving the impression of lowered clarity. The overall volume is slightly attentuated since the new 610 earpads cover more area then the original pads, but not a problem (just increase the volume).
I'm running my TH900's on Violectric's V200 & V850.
