RE-400 has better isolation because it can go in deeper. TE-05's isolation is okay but not stellar.

Could the TE-05 be described as an Ety-like sound with more bass? Can anyone compare them to the GR07?
 
Really considering these...between the size, MMXC connector, and what I'm sure is typically awesome build quality from Fostex, I might just buy these guys and forget about waiting for the W30/new VSONIC IEMs.

Tough.. I wouls say yes because the Doppio's stem for the cord is at the back of the earphone instead of the middle like the RE-400. So it's easier to get a deeper seal with the Doppio.

I don't have the DN-1000, so to be honest I can't compare the two other than to say both sounded great to me. Only other thing is how the DN-1K gave guitars its own space, which was amazing.

Te-05 is better then all the gr07s variant which I had all three version and gave them away because the te-05 slaughter them in every way possible
