Personally I much preferred the all metal look of the defective ones.
I still don't understand how a company like Furutech ended up selling adapters that after some fairly light use end up stripping the coating on their own cables (ADL iHP-35S). How is this acceptable? And they still sell this F35 model apparently.
I pulled out my other ADL F35s (G) and (R) and indeed they all have the same hellish clamping force -- or to be clearer, it appears to be a single inside metal connector strip that juts out too much into the path of the male jack being inserted.

Thanks for letting us know. Perhaps someone should inform Furutech about that? The odds are they're not aware that they have this issue. Tell you what, I'll drop them a mail and see what they reply.
A while ago Matt told us that he had multiple issues with one small necessary part and it takes ages to manufacture it right. Once that's done, he'll finally reveal that new big thing, but I don't think that this post contains any new info

Thank you, the suspense is killing me, especially since I firmly believed it to come to a conclusion till page 296 - now I know how Gearge R.R. Martins readers must feel. xD
