Hybrid Series HPC or Claire HPC mkII for my DCA Aeon 2 Noire? :D
Whats the difference between those cables?
Main difference, Claire is copper, hybrid series is copper/ silver litz mix.
Personally i prefer the hybrid series with my ÆON, but Matt could surely give a recommendation here.

My Noir Hybrid arrived today, the main intended use had been a set of D9200 I have on order, but they are stuck in a slow postage process that the seller unfortunately chose 😢

In the meantime however, hooked up to the JVC HA-SW01 - looking forward to a proper listen tonight.

Consider the SW-01 use burning-in time!
Nice pairing, indeed. Keen to hear your thoughts on 9200, too. Moving up the headphone chain, I see :beerchug:

I’m excited to hear D9200, but taking an incredibly long time - ordered from a store in the Netherlands on the 16th of February, and appear to be sitting in a PostNL hub since! I’ve been close to pushing for a refund at this stage tbh.

Ugh - PostNL. Awful every experience. Worse than La Poste, which was previously my barometer for awful European postal systems. That's a long time waiting, indeed. Worth the wait, but annoying nonetheless.

This is from Headphone Auditions or elsewhere?

Yes I experienced PostNL about a year ago when I ordered iFi Gryphon from a seller in that region, took forever to get here… and then it was faulty 😬

This order is from a Denon Store operated by a company called Audio Forum - I actually asked before placing the order who they use for shipments, and was told DHL or GLS - my heart sank when I got the tracking details with PostNL!

Hoping you get them soon!

So annoying when dealers go for the budget postal option

Order placed! Had to select "Headphones : Hifiman HE1000se/6se/new 400i/Sundara/Ananda/Arya (3.5mm jack)" even though I have the Susvara since I have the 2021+ edition with the 3.5mm jacks... the dropdown puts 2.5mm connectors on there if you pick Susvara. So, just a heads up to those that may not be paying attention!

@Matez is really good at steering you to the right options if you’re not sure. I ordered Hybrid Noir for my Quad ERA-1s (which weren’t on the options list) and he responded quickly to an email from me

Ouch! I hope that it got fixed/swapped for a brand new one?

Precisely that. Wow... this must be the reason.

Now I am thinking I've likely used it with two of my nice cables, luckily not with any of my FAW ones.

Can I still safely keep using a cable that has that amount of chipping or am I risking something?
Slightly off topic - apologies - but just a follow up on this because it may be useful to other members. I just received the rhodium version of the Furutech 6.35mm/3.5mm adapter (CF35[R]) and it doesn't have the same issues as the other one. Indeed, works nicely. I also replaced the AECO plug on the other cable (not a Forza cable) with a rhodium Oyaide plug, and quality seems better. So in short, I recommend CF35[R] and is likely much better than a pigtail adapter using the female Neutrik 6.35mm plug.

Thanks for the update. Good to know, I think I'll also look for a CF35[R].

So do we think almost all ADL F35s (rhodium or gold) have the "too tight a fitting, might destroy your 6.3mm jack" issue? I have two rhodium and two gold F35s... what a waste. I was so sure Furutech is quality through and through. Now I am afraid to even test them with another 6.3mm.

So far so good with the CF35(R). The internal diameters must be slightly different, because the comfort feels less of a struggle than the F35s.

Yes, sadly I would avoid the ADL F35s from hereon.

BTW: I forgot to mention, I also have another ADL/Furutech adapter, also supposedly of high quality. No problem with the fit on this one, actually, but the quality is iffy on the 3.5mm side. It's this one here, which seems to have been discontinued. Maybe for a reason.

In any case, it's not a connection I use too frequently. Really only for the amp below or directly into a DAP.

My right jack for my Noir HPC MK2 no longer locks into the headphone socket.

Anyone with mini-XLR jacks experience this? Cable was bought in Nov 2022.
