Heading out for a walk with my dogs so I went with just the basics: Shozy Magmas running off a Qudelix5k. This is pretty much as simple as it gets for me, but it sounds pretty damn good. We're spoiled for choice and performance these days.
On deck in the queue is a 2013 release from Anders Bjorler entitled Antikythera. This one's a solid instrumental prog/metal-prog album defined by thunderous sounding drums, dry cymbal accents, pensive and wandering guitar, and cameos from instruments you don't often hear on an album like this such as the tenor sax highlighted on the fourth track, Uncovering the Mechanism. This is a great album for wandering the tracks and trails in the hills behind my neighborhood. Highly rec'd!
