** quick digression: how can one not like the way in which Niles Rodgers plays rhythm guitar? This is one of those seminal albums that lies at a cultural nexus between what/who went into it (Chic)** and what/who has come out of it (a who's who list of '90s-era hip-hop and 2000s-era EDM stars). Despite that, I still vote for Bet Cha Say That to All the Girls (1983) as their best album. "BYOB" is killer, and so is Saint Pepsi's downtempo 2013 remix "Cherry Pepsi."

He owned an eatery 'Chicken On The Hill'. Customers there, when Willie Stargell homered, got fried chicken gratis.Featuring Pops Stargell.

It's why everyone keeps going back to the same well and sampling his stuff over and over and over. Forget all this hand-wringing over AI. Just keep resurrecting riffs from the '70s.** quick digression: how can one not like the way in which Niles Rodgers plays rhythm guitar?

I only run these headphones out of my iFi Pro iCAN and use the bass boost/3D sound effects. I keep the volume at mid-gain and don't go above 10:00 on the dial. Are you running these off the V220? Just curious.
To keep things topical:
I needed something more appropriate for moving around the shop so I threw on the SoftEars Twilights and plugged them into my Hiby RS6.
Currently listening to an album out of left field: Sister Sledge's 1979 Disco Era classic We Are Family. At the suggestion of a friend I'm going through the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Due list that assigns you one random album to listen to per day. The albums come from a list of 1001 classic albums generated by music history and pop culture experts. I'm only a couple dozen albums in so far, but it has been interesting and entertaining so far to see what's on the list. I've been having fun doing it!

I couldn't agree more. It's one of those albums that is such an iconic part of pop culture history that people know tracks off of it without even knowing they do (and I don't just mean We Are Family). It's influence is just so widespread and it reaches well beyond just EDM and hip-hop. There are plenty of rock rhythm guitarists who will back me up on that one.

Saw Pop Stargell a few times in Montreal at Jarry Park when he knocked the ball over the scoreboard in right field and into the swimming pool. He also hit the longest HR at the Olympic Stadium in right centre. The bench in the upper part of the stadium is painted where the ball hit, in Pop Stargell’s honour.Featuring Pops Stargell.

Great album, produced by T-Bone Burnett. Burnett often hires Jay Bellerose, who plays on this album, as the drummer for certain albmus he produces. Bellerose has been influenced by blues and jazz, and his sound is in part derived from his vintage 1940s Slingerland Rolling Bomber kit. He often performs with shakers strapped to his ankles. He often uses a shallow 32-inch bass drum & you’ll notice, no hi-hat cymbals. Bellerose brings a different ‘feel’ and sound to the album with his unique style of playing.
