Fever Dreams Pts 1~4 (2022) by Johnny Marr - I was never a great fan of The Smiths, mostly I just didn't think a lot of Morrissey but Johnny Marr always struck me as a very talented musician. This is his fourth solo studio album and I think he really nailed it this time, the compositions are varied and the recordings are polished and above all it sounds as though he's enjoying himself. I picked this album as another guitar based recording to go through the SR325x' and apart from the guitars sounding glorious, the bass is really punchy and digs deep, not something Grados are known for.

no pictures this time. but i picked up a pair of Tin C2 Mechwarriors, been running them through the gamut via Zenfone 8 -> F.Audio KS01 since it seems to benefit just a hint from the different filter & higher amperage on the ks01 compared to the zenfone 8's output - i believe the zenfone 8 is using some kind of slow roll off filter & the ks01 seems to be using default ES9038Q2M minimum phase fast roll off.

really like this combination. someday i'd like to try a DO100 to use a 9038-based chip with brickwall filter. brickwall sounds best for me in the fast paced music i like

i am glad the 109 pro bass is damn close to a planar bass. i actually prefer the 109's bass over the one of the sundara. i really don't miss anything when it comes to bass
this one kicks so damn well after a good beer
