For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

(a) RS-1x is the headphone for this LP;
(b) This, for me, is their best LP;
(c) The only superior version is the original [1969] vinyl pressing with the turquoise lettering on the LP cover. With a Supex SD-900e moving-coil cartridge … 🤪😝.5C54CBE8-9D87-4D74-AE4D-55A8C63D1939.jpeg
I used this record for my basement project in progress. I thought album covers made great art.

JRiver Media Center > Schiit Modi Multibit > Schiit Vali 2 (mullard 6DJ8) > Grado RS-1x :musical_note::musical_note::musical_note::musical_note::musical_note:

Stanley Road (1995) by Paul Weller - I thought The Jam were ok but was never a fan of The Style Council, so it came as a big surprise how much respect I have for Paul Weller as an artist. He's mellowed with age and his music just seems to carry on and he's now regarded as some kind of Godfather in the UK music scene. This was the first album of his I bought and in some ways I think it is still his best ever work. This is the perfect kind of music for the RS-1x, well produced, not too heavy, plenty of space in the music and the Schiit mini stack just seems to add to the magic. :darthsmile:

Fantastic system/chain and great album indeed!
@David222 thank you Sir! In fact I do think it would sound even more smooth and better with Rockna WaveLight with hybrid filter and AuroraSound HEADA but: Meze Empys would be better than Focals for such setup and I do not have access to my Rockna at the moment. Since you own WL you know what I am talking about :)

Grado PS500e << Grado RA-1 (twin 9-volt battery power): 12D62D8B-1F24-4516-9E33-552EEA9E9B96.jpegC051BBC7-E04F-4EF9-A52C-955BE0DA9D7C.jpeg[Verve: recorded @ Village Vanguard NYC August, 1967; released April, 1982.] A wondrous live jazz trio album. The ever-swinging, balladic Bill Evans is driven to new heights by the maestro Philly Jo Jones. Eddie Gomez is, again, exciting and superb on bass. Miss this one at your regret 😒.
I am listening to this now with the RS1x. Surprisingly good sounding recording. I haven't listened to this one in several months. A fine recommendation! Thanks for reminding me

I keep coming back to my cheapo stuff lately... The Shure SRH840A off a cheap little dongle DAC is so mental for the price it almost defies explanation. Plastic? Yes. Build quality? Barely. But the SOUND. Just wow. Not using it RIGHT now but earlier today, I did.
