One of my all time favourite heavy albums - the Satellite Years - originally released in 2002, has finally been remastered. Space rock meets crushing hardcore - think Hum mixed with Cave In/Poison the Well (it was produced by Matt Talbot from Hum in fact).
Currently spinning on my VC, which is doing justice to how huge/grand the remaster sounds.
Sounds just amazing. It's been years since I listened to this album. With the above setup I've heard the album like never before. Bass slam, great sound stage, and instrument separation.

[Verve: recorded @ Village Vanguard NYC August, 1967; released April, 1982.] A wondrous live jazz trio album. The ever-swinging, balladic Bill Evans is driven to new heights by the maestro Philly Jo Jones. Eddie Gomez is, again, exciting and superb on bass. Miss this one at your regret .

This amp with its 17 wpc is cranking the planars. Loud and clear with great bass and percussion slam.
I have no idea what caused this album to surface from the depths of my memory, but the mix seems to be quite mids-forward so I busted out the HD660S for this one.
