Beautiful morning, enjoying music and coffee. Second time listening trough Dream Box, first time when it came out I was not sure what to think.
But now when I also know the backstory, it give that extra sense. Nice that Pat Metheny decided to share his solo recordings he had in his forgotten folder, it's raw and colorful. And the name Dream Box is suiting since it has a sort of dream like tone to it from the effects.

I’m more into IEMs but my favorite headphones at the moment are the Focal Elex. They’re beautifully balanced and musical.

Stage Struck (1980) by Rory Gallagher - Recorded in his natural environment - live in front of a crowd, recorded on his 1979 Top Priority tour. I've been playing Rory Gallagher albums for the last few hours and the Grado SR325x was the perfect choice, the guitar, which is the star of the show, sounds phenomenal. It's a little heavier, more overdriven than his earlier live albums and he really makes that beat up old Stratocaster sing it's heart out.

The eppfun bluetooth transmitter was almost going to be sent back because it was so...fractious...connection-wise. But I was able to get it to work in one limited scenario--connected to PC via its optical input.

It's worked extremely reliably with one of my MPOW receivers, the apparently second-gen BH298B and it saves time vs. the Windows dongle connection tedium as the eppfun just connects quickly to the MPOW, and all the PC has to know is the audio output is optical.

I had bought the eppfun for its APTX-HD spec but my one APTX-HD receiver, FiiO BTR5, simply refuses to connect to the device.
