I recently just got the AKG K702, and I'm really loving it. A little thin, but EQ has given plenty of bass. Really love the separation/soundstage/imaging. Makes me curious to try other AKG headphones, but from what I've been reading here and elsewhere, these might be the best based on what I like about them.

This morning it's all IEMs and closed backs for listening. I was running my Campfire Supermoon CIEMs during the video/phone calls I've been on all morning and decided they'd be a great pick for a pair to start my listening sesh with. They're comfy, nicely balanced, capable of handling any genre, and are very accurate. They're the best single planar IEM I have come across. Rught now, I'm running them off my ifi Diablo 2 being fed by my laptop. This setup sounds fantastic this morning. Supermoons aside, the Diablo 2 is another piece of gear that I've been totally happy with since I bought it earlier this year.
Up first in my musical rotation are The Blue Stones with their release from March, METRO. TBS are a Canadian band that play a hip-hop and electronic infused brand of bluesy indie rock. Their earlier work had a kind of low level energy and hook-laden grooviness that I found addicting. I think their last album strayed from much of what made them a favorite of mine so I had been anticipating this album for months, excited to hear where they took the album. Thankfully, after several listens I can confidently say that they kept the increased production value from the last album, but brought back many of the touches from the past that had been neglected. Specifically, the lyrics and songwriting went back to a less generically poppy style in favor of the well planned hooks and classic schemes from their early work. That combo produced a damn fine album and put the band back on track, IMO.
If you're an indie fan at all, give this one a listen. It's perfect for kickin' back and enjoying a sesh whike you catch a vibe. If the idea of bluey indie rock influenced by electronic genres like trip hop piques your curiosity, this album is not to be missed. It's all the catchy hookiness of top shelf indie with the low key grooves and beats of chilled out hip-hop or trip hop. What's not to like?

A lesser known pop gem which got kind of lost in deluge of pre holiday season releases. Imo nevertheless very much worth a listen, a lot of good ideas which go beyond standard pop fare.

Bought that album back in March. After I saw your post, I tried a few tunes on my Peacocks. This morning it's all IEMs and closed backs for listening. Qobuz > Yggy+ GS2 > V222 > JOAL (bass ported pads) - Haven't tried this amp/headphone combo previously. These two really have great synergy. A very enjoyable listen.

I love the fact that these guys have been doing their thing for as long as they have and that they're still dropping good albums. Nice rec!

Nice! Speaking of which, how are the Peacocks? The only Sendy headphones I've had/heard were the original Aivas and I've thought a few times about picking up something else from their line to try.
Topical Nonsense:
I'm on the Meze Liric IIs and I'm running them off of my modded Schiit Lyr (w/ Amperex Orange Globe ECC88s) and a Modi Multibit 2 fed by a Wiim Mini. I'm really enjoying the Litic IIs tonight. They just have a great balance between musicality and technical performance and they do a wonderful job making instruments sound natural and open.
On deck in tonight's queue is Vahe Sarkissian with his 2022 release, Curcuna. Sarkissian is a Philly-based guitarist whose music incorporates the traditional sounds of his Armenian roots. On this album, which seems to be a solo debut (I only just found it and him today) he plays and interesting blend of prog and fusion with traditional Armenia folk styles, some Latin and classical guitar techniques, some jazz flare, etc and shows himself to be an accomplished and obviously versatile guitarist. This album is only thirty minutes long, but its a full half-hour of fun that gives you track after track of unique, catchy tunes. Derek Sherinian even makes a guest appearance on the closer. If you're looking for something entertaining with a unique sound to it, look no further. I expect the prog fans here will enjoy this album quite a bit so I'm gonna go post it on the Prog Rock thread.

Giving this album a good listen - I'm not normally a big post-rock fan but these are different, the whole "wall of sound", which I despise, is entirely absent and there are just lots of crunchy guitars and it sounds pretty damned good
