They sound like a blend of Yes and Gentle Giant to me, which is a good thing. Their live shows must be a nightmare to run with all those 50yr old keyboards, Mellotrons were bad enough when they were new so lord knows what trouble they must be now. At least it's just the keyboard player that insists on vintage gear, the others use modern instruments I believe.
A couple of hours ago I put on my Grado RS1x. Still kind of getting used to them
although I've had Grado's for years.
Then a FLAC file - was so tired that I actually forgot what it was. Fell asleep
almost immediately....
Of the headphones on my signature list, the two played the most recently are the he-500 which was recently fuzzor modded, and the quad era 1. Such a contrast in style, I’m enjoying listening to 80s alternative from one then the other.
Was listening to some Peter Gundry (dark classical) on my openback SW modded HD58x and wife starts to vacuum about in the studio no less..... So with a quick switch I thought I'd run with some Pink-Floyd on my SW modded closed back HD58x - cable SW copper anaconda (BAL) - SMSL stack (SU-9/SP 400 BAL)....
Back to Melody Gardot newest album with Audeze LCD-1 (those cans really shine when you add proper amp to your chain, so far only Chord Mojo 1/2 and Fiio Q5s with AM3D as a dac/amp combos we really capable of pushing those cans to their full potential) but with Rockna WaveLight (Linear Filter) upsampled to 192 from CD transport. Mytek Liberty THX AAA Headamp. The sound and background are so clean you can concenrtate on criticla listetning and looking out for all details or just enjoy the music.
