There are some amazing recordings on this album. 🙌 Definitely gear testing worthy stuff. 👌 The K340 sounds Heavenly 👌 its imaging and separation capabilities are the best I've yet to hear. :L3000:
It just doesn't get any better than this!

Nice write-up 😀! However 🫤, I’m waiting to see what Davidzak & Jada can do with the album art …. 😂.
Here's the Jadasteen cover you requested. 😉 Sorry for taking so long 😅 She's sporting the K1000's.

JRiver Media Center > SMSL SU9 > SMSL SH9 > Grado RS-1x :musical_score::notes::notes::notes::notes::notes:

Hold Your Fire (1987) by Rush - Back on my Rush playthrough after last night's diversion and tonight's albums have all been from the 80's (four of them), so lots more synths being used. It's always amazed me how Geddy Lee manages to play bass, keyboards, foot pedal triggers and still managed to sing. This album starts off with Force Ten and some inspired bass playing from Lee followed by the very catchy Time Stand Still, both of which became live standards. I'm loving the detail in Geddy Lee's bass that the RS-1x pulls out of the recording, it's punchy and layered and sounds more like a lead instrument, which I suppose it was in his hands. It's got to the point where I can't imagine myself listening to Rush through anything except the Grado RS-1x, they are a perfect match.
On to the next one and the reduction in synth use and return of focus to Alex Lifeson's guitar (happy days). :darthsmile:

I think that the hd600 is ideally suited to Neil Young's voice.

This might be his best songwriting

Enjoying my newly acquired LCD 5, with the ferrum combo, gustard r26 and the Van Halen Balance disc. I find it wonderful what this hobby can bring and how excited I am to find gear that suits my tastes and surprises me.

[Windfall: March, 1970.] Great, classic power rock. One could say that this album (with the great chording & drumming) is the fountainhead of heavy metal ⛓ … 😜.

Black Sabbath beat them by a month as their first was released in the UK in February 1970 (US June 1970) :darthsmile:
