wildly under appreciated pair of cans--- Beyerdynamic T1 G2
I like them very much, got them almost unused for $400 just 1 year after the release. Its more v shaped than DT880 600ohm, also has better extension both ways.wildly under appreciated pair of cans
In my opinion the last great headphone from Beyerdynamic, DT1990 Pro isn't that bad but is to peaky for me. Also i love to have V shaped sets for music with more tiresome mids, for example bright jazz.

I think they went even further (way further from what I’ve read) with the v tuning on the T1.3I like them very much, got them almost unused for $400 just 1 year after the release. Its more v shaped than DT880 600ohm, also has better extension both ways.

I still have my T1.2s around. They don’t see tooooo much use these days, but were my daily drives for quite a while

Hifiman HE560s running off the Schiit Lyr with the Modi Multibit 2 decoding all the bits and pieces. I'm using the tubes as a nightlight. Gotta love that peaceful glow, right?
At the top of my queue tonight is a 2011 album by Anubis entitled A Tower of Silence. These guys are always a good listen. I enjoy they way they let the drummer and bassist really drive the songs freeing up the guitarist and vocalist to get a little more freeform with the melodies and lyrics. Highly recommended!

The Layers by Julian Lage - Relaxing before bed time to some jazz from Julian Lage's latest album. I'm trying to work out how he manages to play some of this without tying his fingers in knots.

Does anybody here know of the Screaming Trees? That's another one I just remembered to track down again. All this Seattle grunge/ early 90s band talk I might have to break out Alice In Chains Unplugged today.

I love the Screaming Trees! Sweet Oblivion is a great album from the early grunge period.

I remember knowing of them, but not ringing sonic bells. Will have to dig in tomorrow

Campfire Audio Supermoons running off my Cayin N8ii which is providing the hi-res entertainment for this morning as I once again can sleep.
I'm listening to The Mars Volta's 2022 eponymous comeback album for what must be the twelfth time since it was released. Why so many times you ask? Simple. This album is, IMO, something truly special. I think TMV nailed it, coming back stronger and more musically creative than at any time since maybe De-loused was recorded. Though, I think there's a case to be made that this album is the better of the two, but I myself haven't decided yet. Suffice it to say that I enjoy every second of this album and find myself discovering new nuances and creative flourishes everytime I put it on. Needless to say, this one comes highly recommended by your's truly.
