For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

Continuing my quest to better understand IEMs with the Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite. Backing off on the EQ attempts for now and focusing instead on fit (tips, positioning, etc). Man, IEMs are weird.

Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite < Mojo 2 < iPhone SE (Roon ARC)

Emperor Tomato Ketchup (1995), Stereolab

Among my favorite albums of the '90s. Hits me right in my sweet spot: retro lounge music vibes, a healthy dose of Can, and Marxist social critique.

Tonight I've got the Subtonic Storms running off the Cayin N8ii. The Storms have definitely become a first pick when listening to something new in a situation where open backs on a desktop rig won't cut it.

On deck in my queue is the new Drifting Sun album, Veil. This album dropped a few days ago, but I didn't have a chance to listen to it with reasonably fresh ears after playing shows that day and the next couple nights. Today I finally felt like I was good to go and I just couldn't wait any longer to sink my teeth into this one. I love Drifting Sun and I have rec'd several of their albums on this thread before so I'm expecting this album to be up to their usual high standards.🤞🤘😎

P.S. For anyone who has listened to The Omnific from my recs on here or otherwise, I also just got a Bandcamp update that their new LP will be dropping on June 7th so this has just been a cool day all around. 👍😎

Lakesongs of Elbid (2024) by Albion - Revisiting what is so far my album of 2024. It's the debut album of the new, British progsters Albion, led by vocalist, guitarist and flutist (flautist) Joe Parrish-James who until very recently was lead guitarist with Jethro Tull. Judging by the excellent flute playing he's learned some tricks from Ian Anderson or maybe it's the other way round as Joe is classically trained and has a degree in classical composition and arrangement. I love the way this album veers first one way and the next, from pomp rock to folk to metal to sea shanty, you have no chance of becoming bored as the music is just constantly changing. The HD800S really bring out the best in this album, it's so rich in fine details and they are all laid bare by the Sennys, so it's just as well that the album is superbly recorded with decent dynamic range.
I'm listening to this album at the moment.
The K340's should do very well. Thanks 😊

These headphones have a snappy, playful character that really lights this album up.
