@obstacleofaffliction one day I really need to listen to Borderpatrol dac, wish it was more accesible in EU. I almost bought one on auction but somebody bidded higer.

Thank you for bringing another interesting band from Seattle to my attention. Isn't Borderpatrol too soft for such recording. When listening on Rockna WL I set it to NOS as all other filters seems to be a bit too soft for my taste.

To be honest, when I decided to turn from IEM to full-size headphones, I went to the store and tried tons of headphones. HD800, HD800s, HD6XX, focal (clear, clear mg, celeste, radiance, stellia, utopia ), adx5000, Audeze lcd 3&4, etc... And finally, it turns out that I favor ZMF VC over any other headphones!

More impactful, power of closed enclosure. Landed on Verite due to comfort, closed headphones to sweaty
And also my ears touch the driver on the closed version, the open have recessed the driver more inside the cup.

But yeah I also preffered the closed version low end, my fix has often been to use the Schiit Lokius to add a little extra. But most often listen to it without, just tubes to add some warmth.
