"Grande Utopia" headphones have to be significantly better than Utopia headphones. To do that Focal needs to invent more advanced drivers instead of using the same drivers in Utopias.

Ideally, Focal would be able to measure the remaining good driver, and match it from stock to save a bit of money, although the service center may just receive pre-matched pairs from the factory. For £600, it's probably worth asking.

Buy new OG with 5 yrs more Warranty or V2.
Don't waste 1500 Pounds for the repair of old.

If mine breaks down again after expired already then I just throw away.

My understanding is repairing does not reset the warranty. It still expires 5 years after original purchase date.

enjoy! the violectric amps look very functional. I almost bought the v281 a few years back. the utopia og is one of those headphones which will sound great with almost any paired component. the U22 is the same. love them both!

Wow. That's a steep price.
I wonder if you only have the choice of the OG driver?
Given that warranty is not reset - and Focal have admitted some fragility in the OG driver - they should be offering the '22 driver as a replacement option.
