Why? Try if it works for you. I have a dave and went for the copper to smoothen it a bit. And it worked may be in your setup the silver works best.

Would one be considered a mad lad if they were to purchase the silver dragon for the Utopia?

Below from their website how they describe their cables.

Usually people recommend going with copper because the Utopia is already detailed and looking to warm things up but depends on your system. Silver is the most conductive metal, so technically it’s better if done right but it’s all about how it sounds in your system.

I found it to be a great cable and provides a bit more upper mid emphasis and tightens the bass a bit. Alrhough I mainly listen with the Lazuli Reference it makes for a nice change. imho

If you're mad for doing that, what am I after pulling the trigger on a Lazuli Nirvana for my Utopia after auditioning the Lazuli Ultra?

Regards
GG

Well besides cost, there’s a note in this review that seems to point back that he liked the Reference for its overall warmer tone if don’t have a warm source.

Update (2/8/2019): Keep in mind this evaluation was done with the Chord Electronics Hugo TT 2, which is intrinsically warmer. On the Chord Electronics DAVE, there isn’t a filter for more warmth – so the Lazuli Reference may still be a better pairing if you’re looking for truer tone.

For me, the Reference was already at my max spending limit and I got slight discount during a COVID charity donation promotion.

It's beyond me why Moon Audio has never up'd their cable aesthetic. Personally, no way I'm paying a few hundred for something that looks like standard cable sheathing.

My mogami cable has nicer sheathing and cost 1/10 the price. They probably sell lots of cables on reputation and haven’t bothered would be my guess.

Any suggestion on comfort?

I'm using the Lazuli Reference which is quite heavy. It pulled the headphones against the top of my head. Now, I'm using this headband cushion, but it doesn't seem to be sufficient. I even stack them X2, but it's still painful.

Any tips? I'm aiming for ZMF's co-pilot but my friend who has it said it shouldn't fit the Utopia's headband.

Yeah, probably not the most comfortable headphone in the world, but just try to adjust it as much as you can on your head. I'd say that pull it down even a bit so it's more open on the headband extension. Put it down a bit every now and then to rest, it's not a headphone that disappears on your head for sure though.
