Lol, well, to be fair, warranty is the assurance for the first and original purchaser of the items. Ofcourse, as the time goes by, manufacturers want people to be happier, so they would modify it somewhat, and especially on such items that can not easily be damaged, for example, automotive. However, even with automotive, used cars have to be “certified” and will fall under the term of “certified used vehicles warranty”. That means the manufacturers has to buy back this used car, checked it, inspected it, and repair any necessary things and then certify it to sell again on the used market.
Why is it that way ? Well, because who know what the first owner of the item would have done what things to the product ? Spit into the engine ? Spray paint the inter cooler ? Drove it into a pool ? Who knows ?
The same as headphones, what if the first owner had a cat pissed onto the drivers ? It would still continue to work just as long as the piss did get dried up before he fired it on again ? What if he ....it is not even possible to think about all that. Therefore, ofcourse I agree with warranty is not transferable for Headphones. Now, certified pre-owned is a different story. Then again, if you buy it off another person hands, you gotta know what the guy is, and how he keeps his gears. You can only rely on the “rating system”, then everything after that is just pure “faith”
But in the end, if the headphones, which is still under factory warranty, automatically stopped working due to manufacturing defects, then the manufacturers better honor their warranty. So the cycle will repeat, if it is your fault that the item stopped working you pay, otherwise, the manufacturers do fix for free, end of story
