lol I've never heard a track with as large a soundstage, it literally felt like the sound was going around me in 360 degrees. When I first hit play, I thought music was playing in a different room on the other side of my house. Just goes to show that soundstage is depending on the recording and Utopia is just accurate - something I always believed, instead of diffuse which is a cheap trick.

There is no endgame. :^)

I use the DX320 with AMP12 to the Utopia. Excellent staging and sound.

Maybe you have the opportunity to compare your Ibasso with the Sp3000 in the presence of your Utopia, you will be surprised
I'm also excited about the new one from Lotoo (Mjölnir)

Nice, the SP3000 is the first one I've seen use the new generation of AKM DACs that have separate analog and digital components in the chip. Looking forward to more DACs built around that.

Also, I have never gotten into DAPs...is there any point to them if all my music library is from streaming services and very little is local files? Also, do the DAPs integrate at all with Roon as playback devices?

It's OK, this gives me a chance to get reacquainted with the 2020 Utopia before I get the 2022 so I can offer my thoughts on comparisons. I mean I've already opened them...might as well plug them in. Not my fault I got the wrong ones.

Rhetorical shopping question for y'all:
Two used OG Utopias for $2500 each or one brand new Utopia 2022 at full list price?

The Utopia 2022 arrived one day after a fresh set of original earpads had arrived for my Utopia 2020, and my vote - for now - would go to two used OG Utopias for $2500 each. The 2022 is just as resolving as the 2020, but I hear zero difference in terms of soundstage. Any difference I *did* hear was most likely because of the different tuning, which can affect soundstage already. But as for the tuning, I really miss the top end sizzle of the OG on the 2022 version. The sound of the new one just doesn’t grab me as much as the OG. The 2022 was only preferable on a few brightly mastered recordings, but I felt the OG was in fact more honest, and oh, I also detect no difference in the bass, so unless a miracle will still happen, it looks like it’s going to be a store return for the 2022.
