Just curious what about this lends itself well to the Utopia? The sound modes on it?

Anyone who has the money and wants to invest it will get real added value for their stationary set up with the GSE 👍
I also dare to say that a Nutopia/Utopia with the GSE Wandla has a more open and spatial and realistic performance than a Susvara OG/Unveiled without the GSE😉

NOMAX

PS.Therefore a strong buy from my side......and you can believe me...I didn't want one more device 😝
Since for me personally All In One solutions (Dac/Amps) and DAPs are the future 😎

Interesting to see such a strong endorsement from you, but what specifically lends itself well to the 22 Utopia? Just stock DAC settings have this effect on the headphone or one of the sound modes that are part of the GSE edition of the Wandla?

You know that a DAC doesn't really change the tonal presentation of a performance 😎
Now you must know the answer who is responsible.... for this being different

NOMAX

Ps.And quite honestly...I only spend my money if what I get to hear is really completely different 😉
Press the headphone spatial enhancement button and you will be in a different presentation👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
(The little Englishman has done here a really good job with Ferrum)

The ever mysterious Nomax. I had to read through the Wandla thread to find the answer. It's the spatial enhancement feature that you like specifically? Do you also like the bass boost and the punch settings?

Also - how does this compare to the spatial adjustment knob on the Zahl HM1?? I remember you liked that for Stealth. Did you also like that adjustment on the HM1 for the Utopia?

Only that it is much better integrated the features and you don't have to buy an analogue amp for 9.000 euros 😎

PS.If you put one and one together and follow me for a while, you'll also understand my language 😉
Try the GSE at your dealer or at an audio show and you'll say that's not possible...but it is....a completely different presentation 👍
❗️And anything else would not be worth my money to me personally❗
And you can believe me....It takes a lot to convince me that I spend my money

Dude, I can’t place it but I remember you from other forums years ago. Some portable computing device; not audio related. Do you know what I’m talking about? It’s like on the tip of my tongue - but I can’t remember.

It was for an Archos video player, @Nomax - that was you right?

PS.Yes, the Frenchman still has a big place in my collection too 👍
(And with the GSE and his features in a completely different league to the Unveiled 😉)

Now both my Utopia 2022 and Lazuli Rhapsody should fully settle, and I felt that the headphones sound soft/bland and lacks dynamic again!

Don’t know if this is character of the new version but from the graph, there should not be big deviation in sound comparing with thr OG.

I’m using the Utopia 2022 with Violectric V281 and Feliks Euforia Evo (said to be perfect match with the Utopia), but still crave more dynamic and top end energy.

The copper makes the sound sluggish/slow...heavy of the Nutopia 😎
That's why I decided in favour of gold/silver....Emphasises also the S more

PS.But that's just my personal perception
However, it may be the right choice for the OG

Any cables with reasonable price you guys can recommend?

I just put an order in for a Norne cable. There's Arachne audio and Oidio audio as well which are very reasonable. I have used Oidio before (For my Arya SE and LFF Code X) and they are very good but this time I wanted to give Norne a try.

Moon Silver Dragon & Lavricable Grand are both reasonably priced silver cables for the Nutopia. I have them both and prefer the Grand but it’s probably a toss up.
