Look on used market. You can get good deals that way. Also look at it this way. You can by adapters and use for multiple headphones.

I do that with my Lazuli Nirvana on my AIC -10 setup and my Lazulie Rhapsody when traveling. So I can use any Headphone I have a feel for that day. Makes if more cost effective then but multiple headphone cables for multiple headphones.
yes where do I find the connectors! I saw some for 150$ but I don't remember where and how they called; can you send me where you find all the lists for all headphones?
it will save me buying headphones cable for the moment so I can use the Cardas Clear that has HD800s connectors for utopia 2022 and switch easy and then buy the Danacable after

You can purchase from double helix but have long lead times and more expensive. Must of mine are from them.

You can also get from affinity adapters on eBay. They are also high quality. If not currently on his store contact him he can make it for you. He has a quicker turn around times and cheaper prices.

@x7007, when I purchased my Danacable hp cable for my Utopia’s I really had no idea how much sonic improvement a boutique hp cable could make in my system. So I took a chance and just by luck someone had decided that they wanted Dana Robbins’ million dollar cable instead and I was able to get my Lazuli Ultra for around $1,500 USD, which is still a lot of money. It has been over three years and I haven’t thought about buying any other headphones or trying a different hp cable because to me the music just sounds so good.

The key to getting the best out of your hp’s is to build your system around the sound signature of the equipment in your listening chain and don’t be afraid to ask tons of questions. I like companies that tell you that if you don’t like it then you can send it back without financial penalty. There’s so much great lightly used gear on the forums that you should be able to find what sounds good to you if you’re just patient with your money.

I also really like Drew Baird and his team at Moon Audio because if you call them they’re usually more than happy to chat about your system and where you are trying to go with it. Their Dragon hp cables and those made by Cardas are not crazy expensive and IMO they sound pretty good. https://www.google.com/search?q=moo...ones&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari

I’m in Jacksonville FL at the moment and managed to swing by House of Stereo. First off- I’ve never heard the Utopia before and I’m gobsmacked. What an unbelievable headphone! The only thing stopping me from buying it right now is how I’m going to explain to my wife why I have to cancel our 25th wedding anniversary. Btw, House of Stereo should be an audiophile pilgrimage. I’ve never visited a finer audio gear store.

Thanks I will think about it, for now I'm going to have huge upgrades to just start.

I have Utopia 2022 and HD800s
I bought Z8 Ever Solo

What I plan to do it to use the device I like the most out of
Soundblaster X4 SXFI or SBX
SoundBlaster CMSS3D
Asus U7 MKII

All of them have Optical OUT so I will only use their VSS 7.1 surround with the DAC/AMP of the Z8 should give me the best sound possible
including that, I will use the CARDAS CLEAR cable I have with the HD800s with the adapter.

So I will get a big boost in performance all around compared to what I have now is just SXFI AMP

If none of you experience SXFI it is really sound changing, I just can't do without it after I tested every single other device. stereo is nothing

Has anyone tried the Utopia with Schiit’s Mjolnir 3? From hearing the Utopia, it seems like it would be a good match, but would like some first hand perspective.

Thanks!

I read already talked about subject with the bass rattling or bass quality. the sound quality is bad for me I don't know why. I had 3 sound cards, a new Z8 EverSolo , on all of the the sound goes distorted on some high treble and high bass, even on lower volume

I can't understand what is wrong. When I first got the headphones they were fine, I heard all the songs that I heard with the HD800s and they sound different, now it just sound really bad. could I somehow destroyed the speakers? I used EPO Equalizer for surround sound, and maybe it turned the volume very high?

Could it be digital clipping? Did you check the pre gain functions with your eq program? Maybe you should lower the pre gain.

using low gain i tried all volumes levels.
never changed the EQ I like it natural and flat.

it seems I find the solution. it was fan blowing over my GPU on the ram, I think it causes some magnetic field causing the weird artificial dynamic distrotion . when I removed the fan the sound was back to what it should.

Have you tried the headphones with a different source than your PC? I assume you have an amplifier you can connect to a different PC, smartphone, or some other kind of player. It's possible you could have damaged the drivers if playing a very high volumes or improperly powered. HD600 are not the easily cans to drive and do require some a pretty good of power to drive well.

If this is true, this is most likely some poorly insulted wiring or the fan itself. It's possible the fan could have been vibrating the GPU card or the sound card which caused the issue.
