FiiO M15 is $400 more than A&K SP1000M?!
Hard time understanding Australia pricing patterns.

SP1000M is $1999 down from RRP $3499.

M15 is not on sale, RRP $2399.

{RME ADI-DAC (for home) + FiiO M15/M11Pro (portable)} might be a better investment than a $2000 DAP/DAC/Amp, I guess. The $900 RME can take care of all your present and future headphones and IEMs with its ToTL value; and the $1300 M15 or $600 M11Pro provide as much as 95% value of most DAPs priced a lot higher than themselves. It's highly likely that one will end up using Stellia indoors more often than they do outdoors.
I concur about the Fiio M11 Pro. Provides excellent value imo.

Thanks for the input I am not a huge fan of the fiio sound signature that I have listened to previously
Like you, I swore off Fiio. I took a gamble, went against better judgement and bought an M15. Fiio did a great job. Not the budget Fiio of days gone by. Excellent power, made the Stellia sing. I returned it because I am a huge A&K fan and decided to go all-in, I got a SP2000. I can certainly recommend the M15 though. I only had one issue with the M15 and streaming, sometimes the first couple seconds of the beginning of a song, would not play properly, but I know they were working on a firmware upgrade. The M15 is Android based so all of your apk files work wonderfully. I have heard good things about the M11 Pro, but I have never heard it.

How do you find the sp2000?
I may be able to stretch to get a used one
I was also wanting to know if I was to go a Hugo 2 would the source have any impact on sound? If I was to use my phone or a sap would there be any difference?
SP2K is special, if you can stretch to make it happen. It really allows you to dive into your music, like none other. Obviously, this is subjective, but it is the best I have heard. I do not do desktop setups, I have, and I have heard many and the SP2K is capable of delivering the goods.

Hugo 2 fed from your phone or Mac will kill any of those DAP.

I’ve spent hours testing this.

The only DAP that came close was the TOTL A&K at $4999.

Is Hugo 2 portable? Which A&K DAP are you referencing?

Would you go Utopia or Stellia if you could only have one?
I prefer closed hp's. I am also sure my wife prefers me using closed hp's. The Stellia has "open" sound for a closed back hp.

Thanks I listened to the Stellia ages ago and thought I preferred to the Utopia as well but it was so long ago
Certainly a matter of preference.

It is portable but not as practical as the sp2000
I knew the portability answer. In my initial recommendation, I stated I don't do desktop gear. A Hugo 2 won't be carried in your pocket around the house as you do chores. I am still curious which A&K @elisiX was referring to. The only one I can think of is the SP2000, which is what we were talking about.

Most likely. Australian dollars.
