sorry if unintentionally, I sounded like an arrogant cocky douchebag.
You didn't at all !
On the contrary, your precise experience aroused my curiosity.

Nice.Exactly. I love Clears because They are just a proper, comprehensive and “Normal” sounding headphone. It just portrays music as normal and intact as I want to hear it.
If you haven’t already tried your clears on an OTL tube amp, maybe steer that curiosity toward that? Listening to Clears connected to High output impedance and the tube sound, is an absolute guilty pleasure. You didn't at all !

I don't know a single person who has this type of amp or who has any interest in this type of listening...If you haven’t already tried your clears on an OTL tube amp, maybe steer that curiosity toward that? I have compared both. I won't consider it a downgrade. I would say that they are in the same level.Do you honestly think that the anana nano would be more of a downgrade compared to the Focal Clear Og?
Could you share a track ? I will test with my FC.Hi guys.
A couple of months ago I became the proud owner of Focal Clear and Radiance HP and also for more than a year a pair of Elegia's, I have question about driver clipping on the Clear's.
I think the left driver on my Clears is clipping but I'm not sure, a never had a headphone produce that kind of sound before, how do you know if the driver is clipping, it only happens with heave bass tracks.
Yep, try something with a lot of subbass, Femme Fatale by Ghost Data for example or anything by GesaffelsteinCould you share a track ? I will test with my FC.
Thanks, i think I have already burn in enough and what worries me is that I only hear this on the left driver, i don't push it harder to see if it happens on the right side because I'm afraid I might damage the left driver. The very first pair of Clear [OG] that I owned did exhibit clipping when I was breaking them in on my HT receiver.
It was a bit alarming at the time. It sounded like the drivers were detaching.
As I recall, amplifier volume was elevated, but not overly so, and with fairly bassy tracks in the queue. Afterwards, with "normal" listening, I never heard it again.
The Clear [OG] that I currently own [my 7th pair(!) in all--6 OG and 1 MG] hasn't exhibited any clipping but, again, I don't push them very hard, either.
If they are clipping at lower volumes, then that is a defect, I would reach out to where you purchased them for a warranty replacement, if at all possibleThanks, i think I have already burn in enough and what worries me is that I only hear this on the left driver, i don't push it harder to see if it happens on the right side because I'm afraid I might damage the left driver.
tbh this has kind of spoil the Clear's OG for me because I don't feel I can push them as hard as I want, don't know what to do about it.
I wouldn't say they clip at low volumes, but I cannot go as loud as I would like to.If they are clipping at lower volumes, then that is a defect, I would reach out to where you purchased them for a warranty replacement, if at all possible
