Got my Clears this am. They were open box but looked brand new. Not gonna post full impressions, at least not yet, but some quick thoughts.
Pictures don’t do them justice. I find this to be the case for just about every headphone anyway but man these are just a joy to look at. They are a bit heavy but very comfortable. The alcantra pads feel nice.
I’m still in awe just by the amount of detail these pull from the music, and without sounding like it’s being forced into your ears. Everything is there and separated. They sound so clean and effortless. And very nimble. They sound natural but not in the same way an HD650 does, I don’t really think I can describe these as warm despite others doing so. But, very neutral.
There seems to be a tad bit of forwardness in the treble where the upper registers of guitars and horns sit but it doesn’t sound sharp or aggressive, still very smooth. I was a little worried about the “metallic timbre” but I don’t sense it. The treble can sound a little cold but again, very clear.
Dynamics are great, soundstage is pretty good too, better than the HD650 for sure, I’d say on par with the Sundara. Imaging is excellent.
I’m still listening but I really enjoy these so far. 100% worth it!
Really beautiful headphones, indeed. Hmm, looking forward to what Europe's headphone guru has to say about the new Clear MG. I remember that he was no big fan of the "old" Clear (in constrast to the Utopia).

It sounds quite different in some areas as the first Clear
NOMAX
PS.now this model lives up to its name.....the first impression what i got to my ears from MG...much more dynamic/punchy and faster in the low end
I will write more later
Does the clamp loosen over time? I wasn’t expecting these to feel so tight on my head lol. It’s still comfortable but after a while I feel a little pressure.
