I tried to find as much as possible using Google Translate but I suppose they do have a normal return policy, e.g. 14 or 30 days?

Hi clear owners,
I've tried to read this thread, but it's a stretch..Everyone here seems to match clear with serious amping, but is the desktop amp is a necessity with them ? Does anyone has experience here using clear with portable amp dongles like Lotoo S1, dragon fly red ? My current pm-3 headphone has obvious difference between iphone and S1 output, but matched against desktop amps improvements were barely noticeable. However their impedance is only 26ohmm but planars i believe still need more current than dynamic HP..I'm lurking at chord mojo maybe for semi-portable if my S1 can't do enough justice for clear, but I would rather stay away from buying more equipment

I am also very interrested, which One is the best combination with a clear using an iphone

dragonfly red
apogee groove
E1da 9038d
hidizs s8
apple lightning Link https://www.audioreviews.org/apple-audio-adapter-review/
and also a ton of similar size Dacs.....

I’ve tried many portable dongles and for my ears S1 is easily the best sounding, haven’t tried dragon fly colbat, but dragon fly red stood no chance against S1, only HA2-SE came close in terms SQ, bit more analytical and had more power, but way larger in size.

for clears signature I doubt hidzis, dfr would be very good match, but question is do these dongles can even drive clears properly..

I tried using my Clears with FiiO Btr5 and I’ve also tried them with the dragonfly red. I was actually surprised how good they sounded on the BTR5 and the red got them plenty loud enough for my ears but I actually preferred the FiiO out of the two of them.

They sound good on everything I have one because they are easy to drive but when hooked up to a desktop amp with some power the dynamics and bass take off or at least that has been my experience.

Thanks for your inputs, this is great news, seems I will not need to rush for a better amp and for now can stick with S1 for clears.
Even though dynamics will not be in tact with their top performance, but I think it will still kick ass for my current pm3. I'm looking into them as semi-portable headphone to travel/walking outdoors. It's time to switch from planars to dynamic sound :)

Yeah the Clears are efficient headphones and sound good out of most gear (I don't care what everybody else says).

My regular Dragonfly's drive them just fine and they still sound superb. My D90/A90 stack sounds better but was it worth the cost? Nope, but then again this hobby is a rabbit hole

Amp is not necessary, they will sound fine with phones and tablets and the like. But, an amp and a dedicated source will improve performance. So if you want one, use it without an amp for a while then when you can add the amp. It's not complicated.

But, when you do add an amp, make sure the output impedance of the amp is low, less than 5 ohms, cause if you use it with a high impedance amp you'll have loose and bloated bass. Generally most solid state amps will do very well with them, except for current-drive amps which often have a very high output impedance. With tube amps, you'll need to look it up, many OTL designs and the like are also not suitable.

Just got home and got the first listening minutes.
Ergonomic and sound wise i can already tell, this is "clearly" a step up from my DT 1990's!

I would agree with this - the DT1990 in either analytical or balanced pads un-EQ'd is not up to par with the Clear's stock tuning.

When you start to use EQ on the DT1990, I find it becomes a bit of a toss up in sound quality. Throw in the price difference and the scale tips on the DT1990's favor.
