Focal Bathys - Wireless ANC Over-Ear Headphone

Interesting from the ecoustics review
'The level of resolution is decidedly superior to anything we’ve tried so far and that includes the Levinson No. 5909 and Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2.'

and a really big suprise, the new ANC champs:

The ANC performance, however, is another story. Focal have created an ANC wireless headphone with better noise-cancelling than any other model in the category.

The Focal Bathys is now available for Pre-Order from Headphones.com! We're expecting to start shipping units in North America next week (although we're pushing to ship before the end of this week!).

Also, @Resolve @lissimore and I got to spend the start of September at Focal's factory in St-Etienne, France where we took a look behind the scenes at Focal and the making of the Bathys. Check out the video below!

Also good to read (on Techhive) that while LDAC is not supported yet, they expect to be able to add that later.

Finally I can break my silence. Hehe. Anyone with questions please ask as I have Bathys on hand at this very moment.

Hi Phil, I read that LDAC is not supported currently, but were you by any chance able to confirm with Focal whether that will be the case in a future firmware?

Damn, I've already bought the 109 pro and new Auido technica tws this past month!

But these looks really interesting as well, my only worry is the battery and headband, how easy would it be to replace? Hopefully focal offers to service them for a small fee?

I've also not experienced the greatest comfort with focal cans previously.

@PhilW Hi Phil, additional Q .. The T+A Solitaire T are announced to also have a balanced cable in there (which goes from 4.4mm Pentaconn to USB-C) .. Anything similar with the Focal?

Finally a review that mentions Celestee, but not much, he says it's similar.
Honestly if they can meet Celestee performance in that form factor and offer bluetooth ANC, this is a home run for me.

Bathys comes with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable (1.2m length).

Solitaire T comes with 2 analog cables. 2.5mm to 3.5mm (1.4m length) and a 2.5mm to 4.4mm balanced (3m length).

Thanks..! Really curious if Focal would be able to extract even more top end performance once they enable LDAC on them
