I’d probably recommend the Lotoo, especially for convenience and ease-of-use. The Mojo is honestly a bit of a hassle to carry around. The S1 (or S2) is much easier to connect to a wide array of devices as well. As long as you don’t mind second-rate power compared to a dedicated desktop amp, then it’s a solid, easy choice IMO.
+1. between S2 or W2, or wait for Cayin r2r usb dongle. Im sold my Mojo after getting W2, so convenience with iphone + usb dongle inside pocket.

Can you please share your thoughts on the sound of the w2 vs. mojo, @HarveyLowis?

Im sorry but i never compare about the sound. Im bought mojo ( 2016 ) and using it only with ie800. After i get hugo2 ( 2018 ), im barely use mojo anymore. And when i got W2 this year ( my ie800 already sold before getting w2) , im sold my mojo because i never used it anymore. but if compare for convience, i prefer W2 because mojo easily to get rfi signal from iphone, and mojo easily get to get hot when used.

FWIW, I haven’t had any issues with ConX fitting and removing the MMCX plugs and IER-Z1R :)

Ditto. Lol... :)

Mission accomplished: ConX, 2.5 > 4.4 retermination, new slider. Z1R found and received today. Thanks for the inspiration... I like what I am hearing so far, with the Z1R. The fit is a bit of a challenge, but I think I'll manage.

Appreciate your perspective.

I had an h2 but sold it and kept the mojo because I preferred its warmer more fun sound.

h2 is great piece of tech though.

Hey guys,
has been a while since I last wrote here but have been lurking now and then.
Have been trying out multiple IEMs in the last months and the FIBAE7 is still my favourite so I am going to pull the trigger on the custom version in the very near future.

I know this thread is more about IEMs but I also want to upgrade my source and hoped to get your input on this subject.
I want to upgrade my DAC setup which is mainly (90%) desktop use and a little bit (10%) mobile (but still in the house 😄).
Since I don't want to spend THAT much on the source (for now, lol) those were the ones that looked the most interesting to me:
Chord Mojo, Lotoo PAW S1, Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt, iFi micro iDSD Black Label
For reference, I am currently using the FiiO E10.

From my research I am leaning towards the Mojo or the new Lotoo S2.

But I would love to hear your thoughts about this :)
How about the L&P W2? It’s an amazing dongle.

The e-stat’s reign as the new kid in town has well and truly ended. We hereby welcome the official, upcoming buzzword of 2022: Bone conduction… and, potentially, lawsuits. (If you know, you know.)

Been trying out the SoftEars range. The Turii is a revelation at its price point. The shells have a nice heft to them as well.

And, as if the year couldn’t get any stranger, Spiral Ear - one of this very thread’s most vital progenitors - is now offering their full line-up in universal form. It’s about four years late, but the call for a universal SE5U has finally been answered.

Nice. Love seeing more Turii fans.
If you are of the persuasion, feed Turii some harder rock or metal. The drums and distortion replication is fantastic. The tonal vibe gets me every time.

The bird - the other one - has landed...

First impressions, coming soon.

did they send you an Erlkonig to compare it to?

Edit: oh man just noticed, the cable isn’t in there flush… is that a third party cable/are the sockets still super tight like the Erlkonig? :/
