Thanks! Perhaps... is anyone willing to make any long-term loans? :p

How long are we talking?
I confess I would have trouble parting with the Solaris for too long a time, even if right now I am having good time with the FW10000 :)

so Layla is gonna become our queen.

Actually, I've been thinking. I used to pay little attention to the Layla and JH Audio in general, associating them with being too expensive because they were some of the earliest really expensive iems in my mind. After reading plenty about iems from 64 Audio, Empire Ears, and Vision Ears, I'm finally coming around to thinking more about the Layla. I feel like its because of the changing price landscape. Even with other $3000 iems, the Layla flew under my radar, but with the release of iems above $4000 and going up to $6000, I'm finally looking at the Layla. It's like $2000-$3000 is becoming mid-tier now....

You say “our” as if we all have similar tastes in music and therefore should deify one single IEM as the best one of them all...

flashback to googling "best iem for $300"
Lol you mean "$100" because I jumped right to a $1k pair after that didnt work out.

@Deezel177 Interesting that your top 2 are models I can actually demo and have my eye on. Booooooooy the universe dislikes me having any meaningful amount of savings.

Damn, Deez! You're a content creating machine! Always fun to read your stuff.

Not sure why people are missing it, but Deez said that list is in no particular order.

And right after that "though, which ones I thought of first is somewhat telling"

Make of that what you will.
