Oh, I forgot, I made a minor discovery yesterday. If you own an iBasso player, I advise against using the Super Slow Roll Off filter, it causes aliasing. I tested via a downward treble sweep and was getting low level upward sweeps under the intended signal. I didn't notice this problem with the other four filters.

Does JH think that IEMs are tube amps or something?

I get the feeling that the 7 pin connectors are actually for the JH Janis

This 7pin is made for new Layla with AK collab call Layla AION - 12driver at 399,980yen

I know but I mean like, it's true
I know but I mean like, it's true purpose.

In fact I get the feeling that they scrapped the Janis and just reused the connectors for the Layla. Shell design looks similar too imo.

Arr... just search up. I see the similarity.

I lost touch with JH audio after the introduction of freqphase

The Janis was teased at a closed press event in China. It was supposed to have BAs for the bass, DOME (from the Lola) for the midrange and quad e-stats for highs. The Janis’s main USP was a DSP system. So, where the bass control is now on their other IEMs, the Janis would have a DSP box where you could tune the IEM via an app. Like @pithyginger63, I also believe this was what the 7-pin connector was made for. So, when they do eventually release the Janis, the DSP box/cable can be used with the Layla AION as well.

To further add to this, I believe it was Alex An who said on Facebook that the 7-pin connector will open the door for JH’s future technologies to be compatible with the AION.

You'd hope there would be something new at some point that uses the 7-pin cable, otherwise A&K have just jacked the price almost $1000 for the same SQ in a smaller shell design and some waterproof lugs.

- A&K
- Affordable

Pick one
