FLAC Player for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

I tried the Buzz Player very breifly, so far it seams pretty cool. You can even delete the files you copied over on the iPhone itself and I does play a lot of movie formats aswell.

I know the site states:   Decodes up to 24/96, hardware output up to 16/48... obviously for the headjack output we will allways be limited to 16/48, however does anyone have intel on whether that also includes asynchronous output to say the Onkyo ND-S1 or the near future Algorythm...
 
Or is it possible we can finally achieve 24/96 via async from an iProduct!?

I figured out how to add album artwork, but it can become a PITA.  What you have to do is rename a pic of the artwork to whatever the album is called and just drag an drop the same way you do for audio.  The problem is that when two albums share substantially similar names, such as Zeppelin I, Zeppelin II, etc, you have to add the last one first.  For example, I have Zeppelin I-IV, so I had to add the audio for Zepp IV, then the pic, then the audio for III, then the pic, etc. If you do it the other way around, all of the pics will be filed with the Zeppelin I album and nothing will sync with the others.  
 
Also, every once in a while the audio playback goes a bit wonky, like a cd that is skipping.  Anyone else experience this?

Wow your not kidding, it can be a PITA. Takes time but oh well. What I am still trying to do is have it shuffle. I have created one large play list, but at best I can only reorder the tracks. And I find that the only artwork I will see then is one that I have renamed the same as the play list. Any suggestions. But I will live with this if I must as I do enjoy the better overall sound.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they were thinking with the album artwork cause it's not at all convenient. I typically just listen to whole albums at a time so I don't know how to shuffle or make playlists.

I have none, though the app could definitely be more user friendly.  I bought it mostly out of curiosity and it does play flac, which is really all it was made to do.  I guess worth comes down to how much you would pay to play flac on your ipod.

Yeah, I'm just not sure if it is to me, I'd really like to be able to hear the difference between the same song ripped as flac and alac played back to back, but I'm not trying to pay $10 for the experiment.  It would be nice if they had a lite version that allowed you to play like one song at a time or something, just to be able to A/B some tracks...

ALAC and FLAC are both lossless.  There's no way you'll be able to ABX it.  Purchase this if all your music is in FLAC and you don't want to transcode, or you prefer the drag and drop instead of iTunes syncing.

What I meant by that is to see how the Ipod would handle the file, and if there would be an audible difference between the two because of how the ipod is playing it back.

no basically connect your ipod to itunes click the specific music player *ipod touch/iphone whatever* and click on the apps tab which is located on the top left closer to the middle of the screen if that makes sense lol. then look down where it says buzz player on itunes and click it then you can add all your music and movies to it by clicking add. and you are done XD.

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now om my iPhone 3Gs exclusively with 24/88 and 24/96 albums from HDTracks, Linn and B&W Society of Sound. Line-out to my Protector/JH13. Compared to line-out from a HM-602 with the same filed I am nearly unable to tell a difference and on both the sound (especially the dynamics) seems to be better tha 16/44 alac rips of the same cd's. I'm liking this so much that I have bought a new 64GB Touch solely for hires flac play back and some movies to be stuck to the opposit side of the Protector from my Classic with all my aac library.

And according to Ken from ALO there is nothing that would prevent an app like this from outputting full 24/96 over usb to the likes of a Solo if the programmer makes it so.
