FitEar TO GO! & Universal Series --- Suyama's custom IEM, made universal!

If you want something with a similar signature with the 334 and the technicalities of the Andromeda or the KSE1200, look no further than Fitear's own EST. It's the add up of the 334's emotive and captivating mids/vocals (albeit slightly not as in-the-face), the even more beautifully done (linearly extended all the way up to the sky) trebles than the Andros, the Fourte and the 1200 (the 1200 treble is very well extended but not as smooth), and a solid bass that is well balanced yet punchy and deep. Lightning quick transcients, one of the very best among both custom and universal iems and up there with other electrostats. The detail level is terrifying if you come from a pure dynamics or BA system. Overall well-balanced and can accomodate for different genres. Reminds me a lot of the Stax 001/002 siblings but with much better bass. The fit is the best among Fitear's universal offerings - it is not always easy to get a good fit/seal with the 334 (I have had two pairs of them, both of them gave me some trouble re fit and seal. Have let the last pair go last year).

So far I have not found any real weakness in the EST. If I have to name one, probably it is the lower-mids that does not sound on par with the other parts of the spectrum in terms of refinement. It is not recessed or lacking details, just that the other parts (especially the female vocals / mids to upper mids and the highs) are so extremely refined that the lower-mids just sound, well, not so extremely refined lolll.

A tiny bit more power hungry than most iem out there, but not as hungry as my UERR and ER4SR. Not sure if it is psychological or something to do with the internal step-up transformer, but I feel that the EST needs to be warmed up (like for 2-3 songs time) before it sounds the best. And when it sounds the best, it DOES SOUND the best.

(NOTE to all who had tried the EST early on - maybe it had already been mentioned elsewhere, but Suyama-san & Co had made adjustments to the tuning since the early prototypes, which to me is very audible from my short try of the earlier samples and the currently available ones which are the same as the production models. The tuning as of now is way less mid-treble oriented and much fuller with a healthy does of bass and lower-mids.)

Listening mostly to the HS1670ss and the EST for the past weekend. 1670 is the livelier one (let's party!!!) and the EST is the cooler, more elegant one (look at that ruby necklace in the shop window~). Perfect match.

hello, i see you have 1670,

may i know how do u find the FitEar EST vs the 1670?

i have the 1650 currently

Just tried the 334....wow! I've never heard an iem that's so good with vocals . The Andromeda is very good also. But maybe the 334 is better. . .I was just wondering if there's anything else like the 334 but less expensive? Or any other fitears that's similar in tuning?

There are approximately 3type of tuning over the years for Fitear, the first generation c222/333/435, the second generation MH sound MH334/335DW/224DTR/TG334/Monet/Aya/F111, the latest tuning 334SR/335SR/Fitear Fitear/Fitear custom/Fitear Titan/ Fitear est/est Ti Universial/ pure

Just received my Fitear TG334 in the mail this morning. First impression is these sound better than any other IEM I've heard. I tried a few eartips - stock black silicone, JVC spiral dot, Comply comfort and isolation series. I ended up going with the Comply isolation tips as my primary tips, with JVC spiral dots as a backup. I didn't much care for the fit of the others (did not try other stock tips, ex. double flange).

For 113,780 JPY landed, I don't think there is a better IEM. You can get preowned for 22000-46000 JPY less. Unbeatable.

And considering how long ago they were designed, these are nothing short of an engineering marvel.

TG334 is a classic and no one can deny that, most Japanese musicians use Fitear MH334 on stage and it just a piece of fine tool which people can make a living with.

Fitear actually improves the 334 design for a few times, the first batch of mh334 back in 2012(my one) do not have a transistor/capacitor? on top of all the drivers and I believe all the drivers are specially sources and choose to deliver the designed sound signatures but the later one are made to Fitear standard and are serialize, then they developed the TG334 with the metal sound port, in around 2015 they add a small transistor/capacitor on top of the driver, then they change the faceplate at 2016...and the current SR model with redesigned networking and a chewing gum like shield to cover the transistor...so old basic design yes, but they are constantly evolving their tiny bits to make it even better.

Do you know what the transistor is for? To prevent an output into the waveguide when no signal is present?

How can I tell which variant I have and/or the manufacture date? My guess is the latest as I purchased from one of the two authorized retailers two weeks ago... but it would be interesting to confirm.

You have no idea how shocked I was finding that the priced of a used 334 To Go was so close to the price of a new one.
Oh a sidenote, E-earphone seems to have listed the 334 To Go as discontinued recently?

I'm saw pre-owned as 20-40% off. That represents pretty substantial savings to me.

Also it looks like e-earphone just has it listed as out of stock, not discontinued?

EDIT:
Ah never mind, I was looking at the wrong items for preowned. They're actually selling for just ten thousand JPY less than retail, and in many cases one or two thousand up to eight thousand more than retail.

I was looking at it a few days ago. The average for a used one with stock cables seems to be 97,000yen thereabout, depending on the condition. While a new one would be around 110,000.
007 cabled ones are past the 100,000yen mark too.

As for the discontinued part, I stand corrected. It does say out of stock at the moment. Somehow I recalled reading something else a few days back, but maybe that;s just memory playing tricks on me.

The 007 cable seems to be a popular choice in Japan for 334TG's
