Bought them straight from Japan?
i bought from e-earphone and used a forwarding service to send to my home town.
just opened the two boxes after work. this is my first time fitear purchase. the two boxes looks identical to me except the silver came with a polishing cloth. the pelican 1010 case of the silver also got a 65th anniversary sticker to it.
the silver is much, much smaller in size comparing to tg334! i just listened to two songs on each (like 5-6 mins each); i needed to dial up the vol from 45 low gain on AK CA1000 (when using fir M4 ciem and tg334) to 75 to get my normal listening level.
very very preliminary impression - the tg334 is not that much skewed towards the mid i've imagined before. the vocal comes in quite "close" but i didnt feel immediately any obvious dip/missing across the normal frequency range. as it's quite sensitive so i hear some hiss with CA1000 (not a very good match as it used to generate hiss on low impedance iems) on very quiet passage.
the silver on the other hand, is led by treble. the mid-bass is substantially less then tg334 or my m4 i just listening to when commuting back home today. for tonality only, i prefer tg334 over the silver. . . but the silver shell shines and sometimes (i should say most of the time) all that matters is the look! the tg334 fits me better too despite being much bigger in size (same SE1000 ALZA tips).
btw, the 007 cable coming with the silver is much more stiff and looks less appealing than the 013 coming with tg334.
