FitEar F111 — Impressions, Reviews & Discussion (previously TO GO! 111)
May 9, 2013 at 1:28 AM Post #331 of 902
I'd just like to add that I like the F111 so much that I don't think I'm going to go custom anymore. The fit is amazing, the comfort fantastic (and I've heard many horror tales about fit and comfort problems with customs) and the sound is almost perfect for me. I'm very happy that I decided to pull the trigger on these. I think I'll be keeping them and the HF3s (these are probably the best audio bargain in the market)

I think F111 might be replaced by the parterre, I think they might do that. I believe for a single BA the F111 requires a lot of guts for one to invest in without testing.
I hope the Parterre replaces the F111 without any price change, I think that would be a wise move.

Parterre may not be successor model of F111. Because the style is different

Seriously doubtful, because the Parterre has multi-driver configuration. It also comes with 001 cable (+$) and pelican case (+$).

I'm predicting that the sales price of the Parterre will be around ¥60,000, Well, ¥59,800.

I dont think the casing and the cable cost a lot as they sell the AK100-111is for the same price with those accessories. I think the Parterre will be a dual BA, they will not produce something that will create a competition for their F111.

They sell AK100-111is for the same price with what? AK100-111is sells for almost ¥50,000 brand-new. F111 is ¥42,800. It wouldn't be far-fetched to say that the casing + cable costs around ¥7000. So it's likely that Parterre's price = F111's price + cost of cable/casing + cost of more driver(s?).

I also think that Parterre will be dual BA too -- Although FitEar only specified that it has multi-driver configuration, so the number of drivers is still unclear as of now.

Anyways, I don't think that Parterre will replace F111, let alone retain F111's price. I predict that it's gonna be positioned right between F111 and Private 222.

Price japan current AK100-111is is 582 AUD, music acoustic price for the F111 is the same. Anyway I still believe F111 price places them in some serious competition and at their current selling pricing it will only attract those who want the very best in single balance armature IEM. As much as I appreciate its sound it simply will struggle to compete against something like CK100PRO which cost 384 AUD. The CK100PRO have better micro-detail and PRaT.

I will post my review soon and you can read my vie on the built quality. I think cosmetic wise they are done with no flaw however there durability in terms of just wrapping them around your ipod and just putting them in your pocket will you have to be careful when you want to do that with the F111.

ER4S are much more durable (and those much less pleasant to the eyes) compared to the F111.

Although F111 is the lower level in FitEar products, but the quality is awesome

Can you compare with other single BA iem?Such as er4s/b,FI-BA-SS,GR10 or Tio else
Does CK100pro have much detail then F111?I compare with SE535LTD and TG334,I feel 535's detail is least. But F111 and TG334's are the same

I compared F111, ER4S, ACS T15 and the R-1L. If you want to have a unit that sounds great without the need of any amp F111 wins without a doubt. To my ears ER4S and F111 are not an exact clone, F111 sounds much more open and it is sensitive to hiss if your source does hiss.
In terms of sound it wins over ACS T15 in terms of balance. ACS T15 is much warmer sounding with more bass quantity however the bass quality is not as good as F111.

I believe ck100pro is an under-appreciated universal IEM. I honestly do not know why it is not becoming popular considering their recent price drop. I need to say that it took me a long time to get used to CK100PRO as it has an energetic tone to it which might be fatiguing at first but if someone loves the ER4S their transitioning to F111 should be very smooth.

The more I spend time with the F111 the more I appreciate its balanced and clear sound signature. I am convincted that fitear has did their own fine tuning of the knowle 29689. They both use the same green acoustic damper, I just cannot figure out how the same driver sounds so much more open on F111 and considerably narrower on the ER4S. Can it be that perhaps the F111 sound more similar to the ER4P that I haven't heard? I did try the 100 ohm resistor with the F111 still the sound was not like ER4S.

In comparison to the ER4S amped with O2 the ER4S sound more forward with narrower sound stage where as F111 sound considerably wider with the same height and more depth.
