That would be excellent if you could do that ...

I have actually never heard of the Ocharaku Flat-4 SUI until now and I'm pretty eager to read any sort of comparison between them and the F111.

Sorry, I've been having some serious health issues this past week, so the impressions are taking a bit longer than I anticipated.

In short the F111 is much less overtly colored compared to the Flat4. The Flat4 has a "U shaped" signature, with much more bass emphasis and a more energetic treble. Mids aren't recessed on the Flat4 and are very well articulated and detailed. Mids on the F111 are more of the focus compared to the extremes of the spectrum, and there's less bass emphasis and less treble brightness. Both are extremely detailed and do a stellar job with imaging and spatial dynamics, though in this case I think the Flat4 has a slight upper hand: it's a low-level detail monster, and it conveys subtle nuances extremely well. The brightness sort of emphasizes this all the more. The F111 on the other hand is less aggressive but still very analytical, with more of a stereotypical monitor type of sound. I've used the metaphor of a surgical scalpel for the F111 before, and I still think it's rather fitting.

Thanks for the impression MuppetFace!

In general, which one do you like better? Ocharaku Flat-4 SUI or Fitear F111. If you were to choose only one, would you be able to pick one?

FitEar F111, just because the Flat4 is a little fatiguing for me after a while. If I were only going to have one, I'd want the one that is more polite. That's just me though.

The Flat4-KAEDE on the other hand is less fatiguing (the main difference between it and the SUI being the treble refinement, I find). So it would be a harder choice between the KAEDE and F111.

Ok so it has a bit more lower end?  Does anyone have this?  I know you have the graphs up but some impressions would be helpful.
Thanks.

Correction : It has less high-end emphasis compared to F111 (most likely due to the usage of filter). But other than that it sounds exactly like what is shown in the graph; as for other aspects that can't be shown in the graph (like transient speed, decays and whatnot), AK100-111is sounds very similar to regular F111; you can find many impressions for F111 in this thread.

As I said in the other thread, I doubt any head-fier owns the AK100-111is since it's being sold ONLY in Japan via Rakuten -- not from Jaben or Musica Acoustics or any other overseas dealer -- and it's made in limited quantity only.
