I've spent the whole weekend away of my home and i left the fa4e there so I've been using the sony mh1c for 2 days with the same custom tips, and i must say the difference between both is huge, night and day. the difference in price is huge too but we all know the popularity of the mh1c performing way above their price.... i miss my fa 4e a lot

I was hoping to (re-)audit the FA4 this weekend but for unknown reasons Fischer Amps did not show up.
I did get to try the FA3E from a friend (again) and I managed to improve the fit while trying various tips. The FA3 is indeed still a very good 'phone. The only flaw I found is that the soundstage is a bit too narrow and close for my taste. It's like an in-head-in-ear.
I wonder how the FA3E XB (FA4E XB) compares in detail.

 hope you can retry them soon! do you think the fa 4e are an improved version of the fa 3e or another sound sig?  the fa 4e soundstage is very close in width to my ex1000 but separation is waay better...

But, I have to ask, why would you like a comparison between the 334s & FA-4s? I think I already stated in this thread that I'd take the FA-4s over the IE800 & TG334... unless you yourself are considering getting a pair of 334s, which I don't think is the case. Or is it?

I'm curious because the tg334 are very expensive, well regarded around here and because they have plenty of bass more or less like the amps...independently i'm going to buy the tg334 or not

^   Yes, because I really have no use for them, but it's a great IEM indeed (also sold my SD-2 for the same reason).
 
Now, I said I'd take the FA-4 over the much more expensive TG334 & IE800, but I'd take the cheaper (~$250) ER-4S over the FA-4, though I'm 100% sure ordinary people (and a few / plenty of so-called audiophiles) would not.

Loving the FA-4E XB, every time I put them on I'm shocked at how good they sound. I much prefer the sound over almost every other sub-$1k IEM I've heard and some over that (TG334s, for example), it's just an amazingly balanced yet thrilling performer across the board. 
 
Surprised there's very little appreciation for this IEM in general here, they really are that good. Someone maybe up for loaning their pair to Joker for a review? I would but uh...I'm not sure I could handle the wait to get them back

Wellcome here!, I'm tired of telling people how good they are but very few care about it so I finally desisted and enjoying mine meanwhile...add some custom tips and forget about new gear xD
